Like in Armada, Prime was repainted into 'Powerlinx'/ 'Final Battle Prime' , seeming as Energon hotshot, inferno, jetfire, landmine, Cliffjumper, OmegaS, Starsream, mirage & Megatron ect were given repaints is Energon Prime gonna be amog em?

though don't really mind if there isn't (not the best prime ever)

i dont think thier will be one in the main line but maybe a store exclusive like the yellow armada prime we have seen pics of a red prime with black drones but i think that was ditched

I'm hoping for a Grand Scourge-style repaint.

im lookin for the most obvious choice, ultra magnus repaint, it would be stupid for them not to repaint him as ultra magnus

There BETTER be a re-paint. I'm not too keen on Fatimus as he is, but if he had Nemesis Prime colours, or was re-painted and re-tooled into Ultra Magnus, I would DEFINETELY pick one up.

Energon Prime will NOT have a repaint within the Energon line. At this point, the line is just finishing out and there would be no point in releasing a repaint for Optimus.
Besides, the repaint really didn't sell as well as the original last year (probably not helped by the fact both were available at the same time).

That isn't to say that the mold won't get reused as a store exclusive or something.

They could make a repaint of him as ultra magnus in Universe,since in energon that name has already being used by the Overload Repaint.Also I just noticed that the name UM has a l being used in U.

Actually, the name Ultra Magnus is already used three times in Universe, so why not use it four times?


I hope there's going to be a repaint of E. Prime. Amon has a pic of a nemesis Prime/Scourge colored E. Prime on his website and it looks absolutely fantastic. If they'd release that, I'd buy it. A repaint to Ultra Magnus would also be bought. In his current colors...well, I'm waiting for it to go on sale (BIG sale).

NAH...I admit I do like the powerlink prime that can combine with other Energon Autobots...but still a recolor of the prime machine and other parts? nah...

It just wouldn't be worth it, honestly.

Think bout it this way: A combiner would have different parts, that are essentially independent machines...i.e. Voltron and the power ranger stuff.

Therefore, to have a uni-color repaint wouldn't work because it wouldn't make sense as a combiner.

I HATE e-Prime, but I'm actually looking forward to finding him on heavy clearance, so I can get two, to make the Ultra Magnus and red/blue prime in the above-linked thread.

I hated him, until I got him in a 1/2 price sale. He's pretty cool IMO!

Same here- got him half off and yeah, he's the oddest looking Truck-based Prime but he's not THAT bad.

To me the best UM repaint of E Prime would be to do the whole thing- White/Blue truck cab, totally different trailer that is a car carrier, and the drone would be 2 sport cars and 2 smallish SUVs that would form the Super magnus limbs. They would be coloured and designed to allow the super Magnus (with a silght helmet variation on E Prime) to more resemble the classic one. Plus there's the whole Powerlink with Omega Sentinel thing that would look neat. 'Sentinel Magnus'

I already have E.Prime. I just really want a Grand Scourge too. Although an Ultra Magnus repaint would be bloody awesome as well, with a remolded helmet to boot.

That one was planned as a store exclusive and probably got cancelled.

Also, the fact that the test shot surfaced back in May is a strong indicator for it being cancelled.

I think it's a shame this was cancelled as I'm a sucker for repaints and personally I thought this was a pretty good one. I agree either a Nemesis or Magnus repaint in Universe would look awsome if they get it right. I'd also forgotten all about the black and neon green Megs that was cancelled as well.
