im talking mostly about the pins that keep the alts/bt's together, and pivot and all that fancy movement.

Johnny Reb:
use a hammer and a NAIL PUNCH.
1) remove the leg from the alternator. It's hip is a ball-joint, and pops out.
2) secure the leg so you can get at the pin. make sure the car parts aren't resting on anyhting.
3) set the nail punch into the hole, and LIGHTLY tap the pin out with the hammer.

I've worked with this method before and it is highly effective just make sure to get the ribbed end out first.

Agreed. That end is 'SCORED' so it Grips the Inner-Plastic when pushed in (Fortunately, the manufaturer usually inserts the pin so that the 'SCORED' end is Just BARELY Flush... so Look for that side when preparing for removal)
Of course, Patience will be the most important tool in this procedure....

Yeah that is the easiest thing to do. I jsut use a small crappy jewlers screwdriver. But what about the ones doe the wheels? I end up cutting the rims off jsut to get at the pin. I cant press it cause of the head of the pin. I usualy use a power drill. after I cut the rim away I put the head of the pin in teh chuck and clap down then tur the drill on. if tight enough the drill will spin the pin. the cross hatches ont eh pin will rub against the plastic and heat it up to the poitn of being gooey and then I can pull the pin out but it doenst all ways work.
