Behold! G1 US#03! I have the decoys for Starscream and Thundercracker, but unfortunately not for Frenzy, Rumble and Ravage - otherwise I would've used just decoys for the background Decepticons. ilo decoys I just used the actual toys. d:

There you have it. Back in the early days of Transformers, in order to promote it, Marvel thought it might be a good idea to slap their coverboy in there so more people would pick it up. They've done that with other things, like Rom (although Rom is considered far more part of the Marvel Universe than Transformers). The early issues of Transformers (IE, #1-4) also mentioned some other folks from the Marvel Universe, such as the Dazzler and Nick Fury.

Nevertheless, the early issues of Transformers are still pretty crappy.
Goktimus Prime
It's interesting to note that the Daily Bugle makes appearances in later issues of the Transformers (for example, they covered Shockwave's attack on Blackrock's oil platform), suggesting that they're still covering news relating to the Transformers.

Mirrors- Your photoshop skills are enviable. Actually, I'm a graphic design student, so I kind of need them. Do you mind if I use a brain siphoning device to forceably extract them? I'm sure your brain won't mind much.

On a similar note, in an earlier thread I posted this:

I knew I'd seen that before!

thats what inspired me to do my one clap.gif clap.gif

As siphoning my brain, if there was a way, sure.

I gotta help out a fellow GD student

When I think "Car Brothers", I can tell you I don't think of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. I think of RiD Autobot Bros (the other name they went by) X-Brawn, Prowl and Sideburn.

To me, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are Twins.

Actually the CR brothers are known as the "three Car Robo brothers" (Car Robo Sankyoudai).

Just got my Classics Mirage, and I have to say, he is definitely the best Classic figure so far...

Its amazing how, for two lines, Mirage is arguably the most poseable. (Alternators and Classics)

Oh yeah, and I picked up some marbles in a glass shop while on vacation.

I kinda thought they looked like round versions of the G1 Energon Cubes. (Yes I realize I picked an Armada character to demonstrate the iconic G1 plot device...)

What greater way to demonstrate the power!

Here is the frosted look:

Damn!!! I want Mirage now! All the other Deluxe guys are gimpy compared to that articulation.
Deadpool
eektf.gif I need Classics Mirage now!

Here's a good pose for Cl Mirage guaranteed he's probably the only TF ever to be able to do this.

Cl Optimus and crew.

Goktimus Prime
No offence, but that Dinobot gestalt looks f'ugly. I sure hope you didn't have to physically alter any G1 Dinobots to make that. (-_-)

Nice fight poses! We need a Classic Decepticon with the same articulation.

I think Kickback would make a nice Decep. with this kind of articulation and feet. And get away in being thin.

Thanks dude. For a more in-depth explanation of what's happening in those fight poses, click here.

As for a highly poseable Classic Decepticon - aside from the fact that I think ALL Transformers should be this poseable... I would recommend Classic Bludgeon as a more highly articulated Transformer! He was one of the greatest warriors from G1, yet the toy was just a craphouse brick. I doubt he'd get remade as Classic though, since the Classics line seems to be only drawing characters from the first three years of G1. icon_sad.gif

G1 went from 1984-1993 yet they're only drawing characters up to 1986. I can understand why, but as a fan of all of G1, it personally irks me.

That's always been one of the coolest thing about being a Transformers collector - they have big feet! I have a couple of Star Wars figures on display, and those small-footed bastards keep falling over all the time!! Ggrr!!

Oh, did you mean to say "say, how articulated is Starscream if you don't try to put his guns on his arms?" - well, it's about the same as with them on, the only difference being that you can lift them up without knocking the wings back.

GUNBUSTER! This thing has some many freakin' accessories I don't think I will ever have the time to go thru them all.
