I notice you have the chest stickin out farther.... just wanted to point that out.... wait is that how it's supposed to be? cuz I never used the instruction manual on it.

i beleive it was something that was omitted from the instructions (dunno i never checked mine either, can't get to them right now they're WAY up in the closet), if you try it you'll find out why. i find it VERY hard to acheive with my mirage, but if you check it out and look at the two flaps and the chest piece you can see that it was deffinatly intended.
Autobot032
Problem with Mirage's chest is that there's no way to lock the tabs in place to keep it all sealed together.

There was a mod mentioned on the ALLSpark a while back, but I can't remember it for the life of me. Something to do with Super Glue iirc.

Either way, it's a pain in the neck, because the rest of him is a great figure.

hmmmm i dunno how super glue would help unless you actually super glued the parts together, although it's a possibility. i can get it to sit right but theres too much resistance from the left flap as it wants to shut in further so i just tend to close the flaps around the peice on the back of the chest that way his chest still sticks out. i don't fold the bottom part down either, i think it looks better with the whole strip showing. i was talking to my friend about it the other day and told him that they should have put some sort of clip on them so that they'd clip into place on the storage area (what the hell do you call the front on a mid engine car?!), and he agreed.
cloudhopper
If you look at the Kiss Rodimus pictures, the flap are positionned in that manner.
Autobot032
Ah, so I'm not the only one with the left flap being too strong. The right one has absolutely no push behind it, it either flops open, or closed.

Still..he's my favorite of all the Alts, and the easiest (sans chest) to transform.

yea, mine's the same way, tfing him was a no brainer, probably right up there with the jeep mould as far as ease of transformation. took me a minute to get him back into alt mode but after i thought for a minute i saw what i did wrong. he's deffinatly one of the most posable alts yet though, right up there with the mustang.

But Classic Primes main gun has some tricky little details to it... (Too tired to type out some propper description but yea)

Anyways... Pics...

lamuness 2005
im a bit surprised that with alt mirage's high level of articulation nobody (well, other than one guy) has tried doing something with his hands other than holding guns

tonfas, inspired by kiss players hot rodimus but then they have the thing sticking outwards which i think is the wrong way of holding a tonfa

archery, anyone?

I never had an issue with them before but in those pics, Man are HotRod's hands bright! They match almost nothing else on his body. I love Takara Exclusive color schemes. It's like the throw crayolas on the floor and pick the first five up blindfolded.

Not intentionally. If it seems a bit deformed it's probably because of my sloppy cropping skills... my hand just starts suffering terrible seizures whenever I try to crop an image.

I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it - but Hasbro really should have named Cybertron Deluxe Unicron "Unicron Acolyte." Anyway, today I actually went and used my CYB Unicron as a horde of Unicron Acolytes going toe to toe against my Optimus Prime and Scorponok as they did in G1... icon_wink.gif

Mirrors- Your photoshop skills are enviable. Actually, I'm a graphic design student, so I kind of need them. Do you mind if I use a brain siphoning device to forceably extract them? I'm sure your brain won't mind much.

On a similar note, in an earlier thread I posted this:

Since that's no longer original, here are some other random pics I took of my friends Soul of Chogokin figures while I was in Japan (by the way, these figures are INCREDIBLE-ly expensive).

Zambot-3 (gigantic robot designed by the guy who also made the original Gundam, Tomino Yoshiyuki, alias "Kill 'em all Tomino")

Combattler V, made of five flying robots which resemble five flying parts of a giant robot. He also has a powerful electric buzzsaw yoyo attack, the activation of which requires a stout screaming of "CHOUDENJI YO-YOOOOOO!"

Most people should recognize this guy. If you haven't, suffice it to say that he caused just about everyone who watches Japanese Animation to scratch their head or get severely irritated at least once.
Goktimus Prime
But Combattler V is supposed to separate into five vehicles, not robots... although the vehicles would resemble components of the Combattler V robot.

Here's a photo of me singing the Combattler V theme song at Karaoke!

That they've done already if I'm not mistaken, since I remember my cousin having Voltes V on karaoke...
RUMBLEBEE
I have Combattler V in black and I've always wanted the red and blue one. Just great! I love Zambot though. Want that guy in my collection badly. sigh... Like all the rest of that Soul of Chogokin series.

Buddykiller: Err... that's not a fansub (why would fansubbers sub anime in Japanese text??) -- that's the actual proper Karaoke clip for the song. That photo was taken in a Karaoke box "restaurant" (they're legally classified as restaurants). Fansubbers do do karaoke clips, but they always have Romanised Japanese so that people who can't read Japanese script can still sing along. Some fansubbers will include both Romanised and proper Japanese script, but I don't see too many that do Japanese script only. (-_-)

well if you can speak japanese i guess theres really no need for fansubbing. i was just wondering because it looked EXCEPTIONALY well. i thought there where words on top of the script and well it'd be hard to see the translation at the top of the screen with the screen being that bright and the camera being that far away. it's actually really common for your higher quality fansubbing groups to actually do all 3. i noticed the other day how nice it really is when i was watching flame of recca (which i just found out was on dvd). i found myself missing it quite a bit.

this reminds me, i need to catch up with Sorezore no Tsubasa

Yes, vehicles, sorry. One of them is a thinly disguised flying pair of legs.

Funny you should say. I spent some time in Japan this summer, and my friend's mom took me to a karaoke place (it was pretty awkward), where I surprised her big time by karaoke-ing that very same song, and there was no romanji either. I have it on a CD, and since I had listened to it and (loudly) sang along enough times I basically know all the words (even though I don't really know what I'm saying). I was able to do this with a couple other songs too (especially the Getter Robo opening).

And here's my proof.
