Energon Combiners!

Posing these guys gives me such a headache. They either topple over or there arms wont stay how you want em. That pic I posted a few Pages back with Bruticus and THS 02 was so difficult.

yes, two of them are the Japanese Superlink versions...I don't remember which ones   I'd have to ask Viagra Prime.

As for posing...ya, I was so freakin annoyed with them I almost threw them in their box and started an eBay auction heh...but now they have grown on me and are allowed to stick around.

You're not kidding. It took me literally a good hour to get all three gestalts posed properly for a collections pic. What's even worse. Trying to get the Energon Dinobot gestalt in a decent standing pose.

I castrated my Energon Dinos from that hideous combined form. Not that they look any better uncombined, mind you...

Very cool poses. Can't wait to find a Metroplex. As for Shockblast. As for all the crap the poor thing has take across the board he really is an underappreciated TF. I have both Shockblast and Sixshot and they both can pull off some amazing poses.

Question did you modify Shockblast in anyway? Mine is exactly the same but only because I swaped both arms. Now I can pose him properly without having the Decepticon symbol upside down. I wonder, was this a major Q/C issue or is that how Shockblast/Sixshot were originally supposed to be?

Yeah, I have Energon & SL version Shockblast & Energon Sixshot.  As for moddifing the figure, I've done nothing to it other than not combining the upper body and lower body all the way. I like the whole "crunchies/sit" up look. I did the same for E. Superion, which I boxed up so I can't take pics.

I just realized that. The only real difference between mine and yours now is the energon port is on the oppisite shoulder no longer obsuring his head when a chp is in place.

I found a simple mod for Cyb Evac.

He has a huge lump of forearm kibble (helicopter rotor thingy) that I decided could look better as a blaster... Thanks to G1 Megs for the idea...

I found a drill bit similar in diamiter to a powerlink post and drilled in lightly.

Tried not to hit any of the rotor's gears n stuff...

I inserted Eng Arcee's tailpipe/laser barrels, and BAM!

Ya know, when Pretenders first came out in 1988, I often thought, "these are pretty crap disguises... not only would they be too big to be human, but nobody dresses like that!" And I never really put much thought into it since then...

Of course, Masterforce gave us the answer for the size issue (good old fashioned mass-shunting) and it finally clicked a few months ago -- of course! The Autobot Pretenders are supposed to be Space Marines!! DUH!! *Captain Obvious Classic!* They were even portrayed that way in G1, especially in Matrix Quest Part Four.

So I decided to do this little shot...

Although the Pretenders' armour are pretty brightly coloured (although no brighter than some of the stuff you see in Warhammer) they do seem to blend in with other Space Marine figures such as the Starcraft Terran and Halo dude you can see in the same shot...
