I got this issue cuz I really liked the Avenger's Thunderbolt mini. Never read the old Thunderbolt comic but knew the characters and loved Songbird from her appearance in Avenger's Forever and guest stars in Captain Marvel (I miss that comic), so I knew I was going to get this. I never paid that much attention just bought it and when I got it home I looked at the cover and wow Captain Marvel (one of my favorite characters) is on the team (or so the cover leads, hope he eventually end up on the team and with Soungbird). I loved this issue and can't wait for the next. Soungbird and Marvel belong together (as readers of Captain Marvel know that they end up together in all possible furtures Marvel visated). Altas is a nut whats with him wanting Soungbird and Mach-4 together so bad (know they used to date, but what's Altas obsesion with thouse two). I have a feeling Altas has a beatdown coming from none other than Marvel (and Atlas better not push to much as Marvel went nuts once and ended and restarted the universe and it was never clarified if he was cured or not). Also can't wait to see the hole Barron Stucker thing come back to bite Mach-4 in the ass (I like abe and all but man was this a dumb move). So what did all of you think.

I loved them...especially when Scourge was with them (I was a BIG Nomad fan) plus they actually used Counter Earth...and when Hawkeye first became leader

good stuff! Most of all, I'm glad they have the same writer as before!

Is there a chance Von Strucker is financing them because he himself has gone straight? Just idle speculation.

Strucker going straight???? dude, he's the founder of Hydra, enemy of Nick Fury since WWII, he's on par with the Red Skull...you'll sooner see Hate Monger at a pro peace rally...

It was pretty good. The relaunch didn't quite pack the punch of the first issue of the first series, but it was still good. Plenty of mystery, a good amount of tension, and overall good writing.
Erik probably wants Mach-4 and Songbird together so bad, because he's been portrayed in the past as someone who needs stability and some degree of normalcy. Having the two of them together probably seems "normal" to him so Marvel was seen as a threat to what Atlas thought the team should be like.

Good to see the Thunderbolts back.
I can understand Atlas not liking Marvel. Atlas wants Abe and Mellisa to get back together, and Marvel does have a history of putting the moves on Songbird. Although I think whatever caused him to get his powers back did make him flip out for a sec.
I do have a question though. I'm not really familer with the MU outside of the X books so I was wondering if anybody knows who the glowing green guy on the cover of issue one is?

ahhh yes, new issue at last! first I love Fabian's writing...""for breakfast I had 3 eggs and a waitress. Over easy."
We have yet another mysterious character (new Swordsman, before was Scourge)...I just hope it isn't Nomad AGAIN...Though I'd like to see him either as Scourge or back in the Jacket w/ shotgun, but I digress...
Cheezy scrub villians getting characterized, much like my beloved Suicide Squad...And conspiracies left and right. With the Purple Man to boot (all after first Avengers story arc). I even liked seeing Wolverine being a berserk killing machine.

Love this comic and can't wait to see whats going on with Marvel as I'm holding out hope that that was him in the ocean and that he's not dead. Hears a crazy thought I think Swordsmen is Hawkeye

Well it is someone who Wolverine has met before...who he dislikes...or at least a lousy history with. He isn't a Metahuman though. Seems like a "part time" hero type. Sting Ray perhaps? Prowler? hell...Solo?

he was described as not really being much for the hero thing, but molded easily, the bounding around thing has a daredevil feel to it, perhaps moon knight?

ok....if you are NOT reading this book, you are missing out on what fun comic books are about. It isn't thought provoking or ground breaking...go read a Grant Morrison book for that...
This is pure guilty fun. Witty Quips ("why are you Aletians attacking the surface? YOU CAN'T EVEN LIVE ON LAND!), amusing situations (Radioactive man trying to get a cab), each issue ending with a cliff hanger...that the next issue delivers on, but ends with an even BETTER cliff hanger! (see last 2 issues). The fact it uses cheeze ball villians gives it a lot of flexability. Speed Demon is currently becoming a fave again....and this issue we get the Beatle Armor back...JUST BUY THE BOOK!!

I like this book a lot. They've been able to tell plenty of good stories while keeping some of the main characters on the sidelines.
Radioactive man telling the cops to give him a ride or he'll make them sterile was hilarious.

Last issue was great looks like Marvel's coming back and hopefully bringing a big beet down for the big man Altas. He and have to share my favorite line, Joystick "the pole should be up her butt not yours.'

. Man was a surpirsed to see Joystick I rememmber her from old Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider comics, and I'm glade to see her back. Man is Stucker going end up screwing the Thunderbolts or what. Also little nit pick the artist left out Bettle's wings (I love the art by the way just noticed that he didn't have wings). Man the Bettle was allways a favorite of mine and glade to see the armor back at lest. O and Screamer I agree this is what comics is about a great story, not sock value (which is what a lot of Marvel comics have became lately). Love this comic.

I think that beetle armor didn't have wings...probably the most state of the art of the series...

Ya could be an update but the wings were what made it have the Swam of Cacatas sound and they even mentioned it. I just this the artist forgot he had them it's been what like 8 years since the Bettle was in a comic so o well little net pick.

The first arc wrapped up this week. I thought it was good. It really got to what the Thunderbolts is all about. People who really don't want to help, do anyway. Nicieza is one of my favorite writers.

I definitly like the direction...hmmm...so who do you think is leaving? Speed Deamon or Frostbite are my choices...and now a NEW captain marvel...errrr..."Photon"...well it has been worth my money, and yet to dissapoint.

I would guess Songbird or Atlas would be the ones to leave. Atlas because of what he did to Marvel, or Songbird because her power is shot.

I just started getting into comics again and this is certainly one of my favorites, I like the not so well known charachters being used and the concept behind the T-Bolts was ingenious, suprised it had never been done before.

Well the new team has hit. Now going into this I loved the old Thunderbolts and wasn't at all keen on the change (still don't feel this is at all Thunderbolts). I hate, hate, hate, the new Venom. As for this comic I love, love, love it. For one reason Norman Osborn is back to the character that he allways was (before Bendis, Jenkins, and Millar screwed him to hell). Osborn does in fact lead the team in every sence on the word. The Government officails work for him, and he is a take no crap kinda guy. He has the balls to Screw with Bullseye (Ya he has total control in that one, but still), and Moonstone (where he has no real controll other than knowing he could so kick her ass). The public loves him again and he's in power, I have missed this guy for so long. Finally someone is writing him the way he should be. Also Dr. who if your reading I don't think they are not all treated like criminals just Bullseye and Venom as no force is authorised with the others and they aren't bugged. It makes since that they would line them all up like that to try and keep the peace (could be wrong though). I'll miss the old Thunderbolts but at lest this story dosen't seem forced as its been building in the book for sometime now. But man can I not wait for the next issue.
