With the economy in dire straits, corporate advertising dollars are getting scaled back. This could spell trouble for NASCAR, who relies on as much as 80% of their income from corporate sponsorships. However, NASCAR isn't the only one experiencing cutbacks. Nearly all sports are seeing advertising sponsorships drop off sharply. This could have an effect on the industry if the trend continues.

Maybe Invesco will finally drop their naming rights and we can go back to calling the place "Mile High Stadium."

I don't get why they couldn't find a different way to drag their Corporate Sponsorship into the names of these places. Like "Mile High Stadium Bought And Paid For By Invesco Inc." or something. It's hard for me to keep track of which place is which anymore.

I suppose "Wrigley Field" has no worries though.

It was "Invesco Field at Mile High." But everyone still calls it Mile High.

Yeah, the Louisiana ® Superdome doesn't have much to worry about, either. Mainly because no company wants to sponsor it.
