I think I can figure out why it's easy to get a job in South Dakota, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska...

I know, right? LA and AL are actually NOT on the bottom of a list for once. yippee
Mississippi is, but...well, you know...Mississippi.

That list doesn't even take that into account - it's solely based on unemployment rates...

Sorry, I was actually agreeing with you that we're probably #1 on the shi

As it happens, I had a friend who just moved here from Idaho and was extremely disappointed to discover that those "cost of living" calculators dodn't actually mean you'll make that much more doing the exact same kind of job.

See, that's exactly the reason my buddy from Idaho is using to get me to move up there. I would never do this for the following reasons:
1) My pay would go down in half, yet their discretionary items cost more because of distribution
2) It's Idaho
3) Not terribly fond of living in snow country
4) It's Idaho
5) Being 8-10hrs driving time from family would suck a little
6) It's Idaho

No kidding.
The only reason the CHP makes people put on chains when it snows in the Sierras is to get them to slow the f

Yeah, Alabama's unemployment rate is pretty low. I'm kind of surprised it's not up there at the top.
