Hasbro Buys Sunbow Media Licenses of Brands

Hasbro, Inc. announced today that they have purchased over 1,000 episodes of classic programming featuring some of the most established brands, including G.I. Joe and Transformers. These properties were produced by Sunbow back in the day and were most presently owned by TV-Loonland. "As we deliver new immersive entertainment experiences to audiences worldwide, it was extremely important that we had the rights to fully control the usage of our intellectual properties," said Brian Goldner, Hasbro’s Chief Operating Officer.

hmmm since thiers a HD re-mastered Macross on the way maybe the same for TF's it would be cool if they removed all the errors but at the same time maybe it might loose its charm

So, this may sound retarded, but I'm hoping for box sets of both Transformers (because I missed the Kid Rhino releases) AND GI Joe.

 

And yes, I realize that they are both crappy cartoons.
