Transformers: Animated has just aired here on the East Coast. The episode title, Nanosec, really gives away who will be spotlighted for this episode. All–in-all, the episode was entertaining, but a definite downgrade from last week’s with Lockdown’s arrival. Read the full review of episode 8, Nanosec. Beware of spoilers! Note: Screenshots are to follow tomorrow.

I wasn't sure what to spoiler or not, so forgive the CIA-look of this post.

When are they going to learn the first rule of Transformers:

Humans = teh ghey

Robots = teh awsum

Of course, I really love this series, and I think they're basically filling time until they slowly build toward a big Autobot-Decepticon showdown over a number of seasons. It's kind of like Star Trek: Deep Space 9. The beginning of the series was all about Bajoran-Cardassian politics and it was really dull, but they were constantly building to the Dominion War and when the war finally broke out a few seasons later it was like, OMFGKEWL!!! So I think they will build to something really really awesome, but I do think this was a rather blah episode in itself.

Did they ever explain anything about why the speed suit made Nanosec older? At first I thought that maybe the speed he was moving altered his perception of time, but I realized that if anything moving faster would preserve his youth. Also, I then realized that maybe Special Relativity was a bit over the head of a Saturday morning cartoon...

It's a kiddie cartoon that feels like a kiddie cartoon sans TTs

I'm fine with that.

Humans/Decepticons it works within the context/style of the show so I really have no complaints about the lack of Decepticons.

It's not G1 and another stupid Megatron plot each time out.

When Megatron does plot I really like how he subtly masterminds it from the inside.

"Maybe it was an inside job."

Great joke and really plays well into Megatron's self incriminating nature.

Sums it up nicely. I don't think this show is really my sort of thing. But, I will say thta casting David Kaye as Prime worked out nicely. Man that guy is talented.
