Question for all kistbash/repaint masters

Depends on the plastic and/or how the pins are embedded.

With softer plastic, like Beast Machines Blackarachnia's feet, you can usually boil them for several seconds to make it even more pliable, thereby releasing its grip on the pin.

With harder plastic, like her face and visor(s), I discovered that boiling makes that plastic more brittle (it pretty much disintegrated when I tried to pry the pins out of the sides of her head).

With others, you can sometimes just pull the pins out, but you have to be able to get a decent grip on both the piece and the pin, so you don't over-stress one or the other. That's my current problem with Shockblast's head. That damned pin goes through his left ear, through his head, and seems to be embedded in a shaft molded on his right ear.

for ones where you can see both ends of the rod/pin (the ones that are just straight rods through the hinges, with no nail-like heads), you can pop those out relatively easily. You just need to be able to brace the part firmly enough (and high enough so the end of the pin isn't touching the table) that you can use a small screwdriver (those mini screwdrivers that are metal, with flat heads at the end of the handles are good), or something similar, and tap the pin through the hole.

As for those damned WHEEL PINS... I really have no idea at this point. That's primarily why my kitbashed e-Prime still has Armada Prime's larger rear wheels. (the other reason being that those larger wheels are, obviously, deeper and mounted on half-inch posts.)
