Some toys just come with an automatic expectation of certain recolors in their future. Of course in most cases it's just based on having a vehicle form that vaguely matches someone else's rather than any distinct resemblance or connection. But as such things go, Spinister from Tomahawk was a pretty common idea, and it inspired no small number of custom repaints. I myself have a certain appreciation for 1988's toys because of the rather distinct coloring they'd tend to sport. No surprise then that at the TFCC display case at Botcon I caught notice of this figure almost immediately... Read the Full News Story Here

easily my least favorite of all the exclusives there. i think its the mold or how i don't like Spinister.

Not liking Spinister probably would be a pretty solid strike against this, yes. :)

In a lot of ways, this mold fits...but, maybe they should have just did a repaint of DOTM Skyhammer.

The general rule of thumb is that movie line toys aren't available for Botcon or club use. Bludgeon is the odd duck in that at the moment, but its being recolored as Banzaitron and of course becoming Overlord might hint that its existence in movie packaging was the odd end of the stick and not the other way around. If Skyhammer were available for recoloring though, Spinister probably would not be on my short list of candidates. No, there's other, better ways to get crazy colors on that mold... :D
