Xovergen has released front and back pics of their upcoming Trailer Force 01. I'm sure it is CGI, but its already looking like it will be cheap looking

After passing on Xovergen's Supreme Tactical Commander even on Clearance, and not liking the look of this. I'm sure I will be passing on this as well.

Yeah this does look cheap. Don't even remember reading about this thing. Does it even transform? I think it's cool you can fit both a G1 and Classics Prime, but it looks like it's going to be a waste of plastic....

 

BTW, how low was the clearance price on the STC/Rolling Thunder Prime figure? I don't think I would have bought that thing for more than $40.....

Maybe one of the other better 3rd parties will do a proper PM upgrade. Hopefully FP or MakeToys

I'm thinking it'll make sense to do a PMOP Upgrade for the MP-10 Convoy toy. but the size might might it too exspenisive & not worth it.

 

the main problem I see in doing PMOP trailer/armor is picking the proper new age optimus prime toy to wear the PMOP armor. which is a huge problem since their aren't any voyager size new age optimus toys that resemble the 1984 optimus toy designs in both modes. had the classics 1.0 deluxe optimus toy been voyager size it would have been the perfect candidate for PMOP or ultra magnus trailer/armor that got created by 3rd party TF toy companies.

This would fit Classics Voyager Optimus Prime, that is the only hang up for it. Because it has been so long since it was released. You would have to start looking at TF Prime Optimus which would not work at all. So Fansproject would be taking a chance if they did a project like this. Since they would base it off of Classics Optimus Prime

It looks like the stuff "Don Figuerroa" use to create 15+years ago. when he use to create customized Transformers toys using plexy glass & whatever spare materials he had laying around at the time.

Being a big fan of Jinrai / PMOP, here are my issues.

 

1) Face is too long, reminds me of Star Convoy almost.

2) Shoulder Cannons are not accurate to animation or toy

3) Jinrai / PM Prime did not have arm guards, that came with God Bomber / Apex Armor (as I understand this is suppose to be only Jinrai / PM Prime)

4) Leg are too generic looking; they doesn't even resemble the original design in anyway, even the awful "zeta (or whatever it was called)" version has more homage.

 

They should have make a chest for this thing and call it star convoy...
