Since the first movie, some fans have been clamoring for an interactive playset where the figures could be used in conjunction with a platform and backdrop to supplement one's imagination. That day has finally come, as Hasbro combines Legend class figures with their own accessories. You can find the rest of the review here.

The only real interest I have in these are because they remind me of the Micromasters and their transforming bases from back in the day.

I suspect my kids will love them though.

You know, maybe I'm just dumb or my figure is lucky but the elbow joints aren't static on mine, they bend with no problem. I checked a few other pics online of this figure show articulated elbows too: http://figurefan.livejournal.com/98630.html

Second time I noticed a review where the info on the toy is wrong B-W.

Reviewers must not be human, as they're supposed to be perfect on everything :shrug. I guess they overtightened the elbows to compensate for the drooping shoulder :shrug

I agree with Microeric and Jason X... Micro masters were the bomb, it was amazing how simple they were yet, so very special at the same time.. u just needed to have everysingle set.. and yes, bases that could form into trailers or with more size/function that also can connect into ultra huge battle stations would be the ultimate bomb... hasbro is being so lame on this..

I think these sets should have at least had better robots than those crappy Legends class Transformers. I see them in the store and all can see is a Legends class toy with a an okay looking vehicle to go with them.

To be fair, these playsets are aimed more at kids than collectors. I had to remind myself of that on several occasions when trying to set a score. In the eyes of a collector, these are (mostly) garbage. There will be exceptions, of course.

I think they add a little nice touch to the legends class figures.

Personally, I love the sets. I think these scale figures are better to fiddle around with when you want to transform some figures, but don't feel like getting bogged down in some of the more involved transformations.

They don't take up a lot of space, so easy to collect and display. Not to mention easy to store when they're not being displayed.

The sets DO in fact have a way to fasten them together with other bases, it's just a matter of seeing how folks manage to use them as more sets become available. I've not yet messed with them seeing I only have 2 sets for each side, I'd rather wait to have 3 or 4 each before trying to make any connections.
