Thanks to Bru No, we have what appears to be a poster for the third and final installment of the giant robot series Transformers: The Dark of the Moon. The poster shows off the iconic head of Shockwave peeking over the moon, which has the Decepticon symbol visible on the surface. The bottom of the poster reads, "Be Afraid of the Dark," with the release date of the film July 1, 2011 underneath the tagline. Read more. Read the Full News Story Here

"the third and final installment"...Did I miss something? I don't remember any official news saying it was a trilogy. In fact, I remember reading them say there were all kinds of stories and directions they could go with Transformers sequels. These movies are cash cows, they won't be stopping with three.

I dunno. We'll see how the third movie fares. I sure hope it doesnt expand to more then 3 movies but if it does, I hope Bay has nothing to do with it.

The cast signed a contract for three films(first movie then for two sequels), which is where the "final installment" suspicion comes from.

In the second video embedded in this article, Shia LaBeouf discusses how it's the final installment of the series:

There have been other ones, too, but that is one that I dug up quickly.

It's not too shabby. Simple, but decent. I'm not sure if I like the Shockwave head though. I have no fundamental problem with it, but something about it is a little offsetting to me. I'm sure a fully body shot will make or break that opinion for me.

But no, I doubt this will be the last movie. Either by reboot or by new director and actors willing to stay on and business as usual in the next one. There's this saying, you don't walk away from a ATM machine that's paying.

*edit* I got more of a Shia saying it's the last one for him, so yeah, I seriously doubt this will be the last movie.
