Review: HFTD Tuner Skids Figure

By now, you're probably tired of seeing Tuner Mudflaps weigh down pegs at all your favorite retailers. So you're probably groaning that his brother, Skids, now gets a tuner makeover as well. If it weren't for his head I would buy him along with Skidz. sorry but they are very displeasing.

I like this look a lot better than the original. If I'd known this one was coming out I'd have waited for it. I saw it on the shelf the other day but with all the good figures coming down the pike (or out already for that matter) I can't justify getting a repaint of one I only kinda liked to start with. I definitely agree if they'd given him better head (perhaps something closer to his G1 counterpart) he'd be a surefire "get".

Nice timing, I just bought this guy (funny: when I scanned him at Walmart the readout said "Turner Skids"). And Tuner Mudflap, for the matched set. I like Tuner Skids, his alt mode color scheme is pretty cool, and I didn't notice the bumper sticker until I took him out of his package, made me laugh.

 

These guys are underrated, they fun. FWIW I painted Tuner Mudflap's roof and fenders black, to mirror Skids' paintjob, looks nice IMHO.

I guess each to their own. I am still bitter about the Tuner Mudflap causing the HA Mudflaps not to be ordered. If it weren't for the retard head and oversized gimmick hand I would buy them. I will say that the bumper sticker is pretty funny and made me laugh.

The head on both Mudflap and Skids are what keeps me from buying the HA's I got the Mudflap and Skids for $5 on eBay and I have them hidden behind my scouts anyway, so they don't stand out
