Review: PCC Huffer Figure

Hasbro has been obliging some of the long time fans lately by bulling bygone names out of the hat. This time, we get Huffer, who keeps his same dour attitude but now also comes with a Minicon partner. Click on the link to check out his review.

I got Huffer last week. The transformation is super simple, but the figure overall is pretty nice.

 

A little to nice.

 

I repurposed this figure as an upgraded RID Wrecker Hook. It is a reall niuce figure, just not Huffer.

 

The Larger head looks like Menasaur, so i'm calling a Motormaster repaint.

 

Caliburst, I was suprized about. Fun little figure who brings alot to the table.

My own 2 cents, Smolder is better if your only gonna get 1 PCC figure, but PCC Huffer and Caliburst will still fill a shelf nicely.

Lackluster head sculpt? To me, that honor goes to Smolder. It's what's keeping me from buying Smolder right now.

I think the legs are mistransformed in the combined mode pic.

The shoulder halves/plates don't close properly against the face for the Minicon in weapon mode, so they sit at an angle instead of perfectly parallel. Sucks, but I like Huffer a lot.

this might be the only PCC figure i'll get.

That rail gun on the minicon bugs me when he's in armor mode. The instruction say to leave it out, but I tuck it in so it looks more plausible. Then again, I guess you could do some sweet clothesline moves with it :lol

 

In all, not the best thought out Minicon so far.

@Liege Evilmus - good call on Motormaster. If you grab the, I think, Rallybots? the upcoming car set, I bet you could do a nice little PCC Menasor.

I think they already showed a Stunticons 5-pack at Botcon with the Huffer mold as a centerpiece (and Smolder as Hotspot with the Protectobots).

i really like Huffer's vehicle mode
