Toys R Us Inc announced this past Friday that it will plan to go public again and will look to raise $800 Million, reports The Associated Press. The ticker symbol for the new stock will be sold under TOYS. The IPO market has been soft this year, so experts say the success of the sale depends on the price. Toys R Us has been experiencing improving sales even in the time of a recession. It is unknown at this time how many shares will be offered, but it may be around 10-20% of the company. Toys R Us was taken public by a group of investment firms back in 2005. Read the Full News Story Here

As a community we should all collectively buy that 10%-20% of the company :D

Kind of like how fans of Super Junior bought out stock for SM Entertainment so that they have a say. Maybe we could get more TFs on the shelves and better distribution of exclusives. And corporate getaways. And government bailouts.

Did anyone else notice that Toys R Us is having alot of sales this weekend? Ours is having a BOGO half off sale on all ROTF deluxes and animated.

It's a holiday weekend. TRU usually has a bunch of sales to get folks in.

I have to agree, Target and Walmart are kicking their ass, at least when it comes to TFs.

You know, they only sell toys, so how hard is it to stay up to date?

They also could offer a decent clearance price. Those movie multipacks are going no where.

So sad to say, if TRU can't keep up, thats the way of the world. It's not like they're selling necesities either.

My advice to them would be go back to the once a year %70 off sales on the deadweight.

Close down some branches in over TRU populated areas (I have tones of them near me).

Then get your products up to date, again concerning TFs their about 6months behind everyone else.

Lastly, maxamize your online presense and sales. That'll cut your overhead while still churning revenue.

do this, and you'll be fine, but they wont, so screw it.

TRU is going down the drain, because they wont update. Back in the day. TRU had Target and Walmart. but then the last guy took over and it all went down hill. Just prep the burial plot for TRU

Oddly enough, the closest Toys R Us to myself is pretty up to date with everything. I even bought the Animated Arcee figure last weekend (finally!). It's the Wallmarts and Targets in my area which were slacking this last year. :wtf

I have one within driving distance but its hardly worth bothering. The Transformers are limited to 1/4th of a shelf and sometimes an end cap. Thats it. There is virtually nothing there that you cant find elsewhere. Never saw Arcee and Cyb Mode Ratchet. i DID find the Universe Unicron exclusive tho. But thats about it.

i don't get what's so difficult about putting up new products..

they should develop a system.. have an aisle of the newer stuff.. and after the older waves haven't sold.. put them in some sort of sale aisle. ..

the toys r us closest to my house only has up to like wave three in the deluxes. still hasn't been able to sell any voyager class figures.. or scout class figures.

i mean.. once a location is known for getting new products on the shelf sooner.. more people will check their first. with me, i drive right past that toys r us to walmart and if i don't find what i want there i check toys r us last.

anyways.. all i want right now is leader class starscream. .. it's been what.. almost a year now since we've known about the figure. bastards lol
