Review: ROTF Deluxe Dead End Figure

Every so often, Hasbro goes out of their way with a repaint to recall figures from the past. Dead End has been given homages before, but they never really quite got the look down. Once again, they give it a shot in the Revenge of the Fallen line, this time using Sideways as the base. Did they come close? Find out in this review!

Goood, good. I was looking forward to this one too. Sideways' figure really didn't do too much for me colorwise, especially with the mismatching torso. Glad to see they added in a broader color scheme.

I still don't like the wheel hands. Even G1 toys didn't have that problem, what the hell were these designers thinking?

 

Anyway, this is an improvement over Sideways. The new head and color scheme help this toy a lot. Sideways looks like a piece of junk in his cheap gray and red colors. I will definitely buy Dead End.

it was a good mold to start with and I definitely like the colors they choose but not liking that head doesn't look right and looks too bulbous looking. doesn't fit the body type.

Sideways is a great figure but I don't need 2 of the mold. I like him as a stand alone figure.

 

If I see this cheap, maybe, but thats pretty much a given for any figure :P I do like the Homage idea...

 

Something I dont like are the rim details, ugh, every cheap ass car in my neighborhood has that. If I do get it, I'll have to get some tribal lettering for the front and a giant rose with a blood drop with a Virgin Mother for the back. I wonder if they make tiny La Mega Radio Ocho bumper stickers???

not to sound like a dick.. but come on.. his back isn't supposed to look soo ridiculous. there are two notches on both sides of his back that the backpack fit into.. his backpack isn't supposed to be over his head.
