No offense Ender but.... who? Not that I'm not a TF fanatic here or anything but I'll be damned if I've heard that name more then twice previously.

Let me put it this way just for you, my friend.

This is Soundwave's Creator character-wise. If you don't know the name, this is a great chance to read why you should.

Best thing I've ever read on this forum.

I really apreciate Budiansky's work.

For one thing without him we would have been calling Starscream 'Ulchtar'.

It's nice to hear he's open to working on Transformers comics.

But would it be possible to bring back the amount of character development and plot progression that was packed into the original Transformers comic?

IDW should put this man on the payroll at once.

Possibly they could start him to work on a comic based on whatever the new TV show and toy line will be.

If he could do even a quarter of the develpment he achieved with G1 I now it would be well worth it.

Get the designers to work on some new toy ideas and Budiansky to work on the plot and character development.

Looooooooooong interview but i read it all anyways. (hrs later..) But at the end the last question that my pc allowed me to view was the one about cliffjumper, and it was on the screen about 13 times and then that was it. I think im missing part of it i dunno. Anyone else clarify that?

I always respected Bob Budiansky.

WARRIOR PRIME: Do you feel that when you first started with the Transformers that they were maybe a little too powerful? Like, with Cliffjumper, he had the glass gas gun? I always thought that that could kill anything.

BOB: (laughs) I don't remember. Too powerful? The impression I got from them, was that you have these big, hulking robots that are definitely more powerful than the average non-superhero human being and you know, they had accoutrements that showed how powerful they were. In this case, this gun that you mentioned, I don't remember the specifics about the gun, it was probably just something I rattled off the top of my head at the time I wrote it. So, I don't have any… you know, I can't be more specific than that, it was too vague and far distantly in the past.

After that they talk about the differences between Shockwave in the animated series and Shockwave in the comic and thats about it. And holy crap! Starscream's original name was Ulchtar!?!??!
