For obvious reasons Revenge of the Fallen Stratosphere's name keeps invoking one of my favorite Masters of the Universe characters, Stratos. Fortunately this gray winged RotF toy does justice to the fond memories I have of He-Man's flying Avian friend. Plus Bonus Review! Mini-Prime!

His face is interesting...reminds me of one of the quintesson faces! Here's the problem I have with the body/transformation...I feel like they should've made the wings fold up (like the Seekers), then let the rest of the backpack swing vertically down the back. Then the feet swing up/forward to beef up the legs, and some kind of feet flipouts should have been provided. The combination of both of those elements would have given you an overall filling out of this figure. The only thing that sticks out like a sore thumb (as far as color) are those orange arms! Those could've been the darker grey of the lower legs or the tan color of the upper legs...but that orange is bright! :sun That can be remedied with a paint job, but the transformation changes would require some bashing...who's volunteering for that one! :bounce

If you can forgive the feet, this guy can pull off some real cool spagetti western "bring it on" poses.

In my collective, he's gonna be a BW Silverbolt before he was reformated back into a protoform with his datatracks lost.

The wings and back kibble seem to add to that.

On a buyer's note, yes they could have done better on the feet, they are offensive, the rest of the figure though is just plain awesome...

PS, I'll get a pic up later, but right now I have Skids trying to figure out how to transform the miniprime :)

Here ya go (I don't think this is that much of a stretch...rather a playful exercise):

This = this face + this head shape & turban (and a few of his facial elements). A good comination of both!

is it just me or do most/all of the figures not based off of a cgi design/character from the movie really lack imagination and movie aesthetic?

I don't know about imagination, but off screen movie figures to stick out like sore thumbs.
