As we continue our "one a day" look at the Revenge of the Fallen figures, we come across a character that was originally denied to be in the movie. Hmmm, looks real enough to me. Although we don't know what his role in the movie is, we do have the figure, and this review shows him off.

Yeah... I passed up on him today... He looks like something that could fit right in with Anime...

I got him and have mixed feelings. There is room for improvement- a lot. But there's something about him. But despite that I don't think he'll ever have shelf space (there's not a lot to go around).

As far as the comment of this toy being impossible to pull off, that's just not true. McFarlane toys made things of the caliber this should have been for years- it's not that Hasbro can't do it, it's that hasbro can't be bothered to do it. That's true of most of their toys. I've got some nice Hasbro transformers, but all the handful of perfect ones are things Takara did.

I've had him for a couple weeks, but he was missing his nosecone. Just exchanged him today for a good one. I like him a lot. Wish he'd been a Leader, tho, rather than Voyager. Prime and megatron tower over him, I'll have to get the FAB versions of those 2.

The alt mode is really just out of necessity, I wonder if he actually transformers in the movie. Regardless, I like it, very alien and threatening, like Movie 1 Megatron. Yeah, I'm the only one who liked that mode. But That Megatron, Fallen, and ROTF Soudnwave all have cool alien jet modes that will display well together IMHO.

Maybe if he had a Leader class figure the alt mode would look better. He has a lot of potential, but as harrismonkey said Hasbro just can't seem to be asked to pull one off.
