Review: ROTF Voyager Demolishor Figure

There's combining Constructicons with no robot modes. There's Constructicons with robot modes, but no way to combine. What craziness is this? And if you're gonna collect one set, which one should it be? Maybe this review will answer your question, as we look at the non-combining Voyager class Demolishor.

as bad as he is, he actually gives me a gripe about starscream now. so craptastic demolisher can have clear purple AND orange pieces, but starscream can't have orange gears and red eyes?

interesting point I really hadn't considered- why is this mess a voyager and not a deluxe? Before the line is over I'm sure there will have been many more deserving characters who end up as grossly under scaled deluxes. Already Rampage and especially Soundwave deserve bigger toys than they got. Is there anybody out there who has bought this toy and would have been heartbroken to get a smaller version instead?

The only redeeming factor to this toy would have been if he was able to combine to form Devastator. Sadly, this will not happen. Way to fail Hasblow.

Strictly speaking, this one doesn't have a robot mode either. :tflaugh

He is unique indeed.

 

Maybe that's what drew me to him, besides the awesome footage in the trailers. But, now that I have him home, I definitely understand that no reasonably priced toy could be done of such a monster on the big screen. Ideally, if Demolishor was properly scaled, packed electronics, and had more features, he would be more of a win for sure. Since the resulting toy would be WAY too expensive, we have this. "HasBLO" and "Failure" are two words that have been increasingly linked together, and unfortunately Transformers is just ONE of the brands that has suffered.
