As we're laying down the image galleries for you on the first of many Revenge of the Fallen figures, be prepared for an equal onslaught of reviews! Sideswipe is the first bot up for review. The alt mode is very slick, but does the substance match the style in robot mode? Find out by checking out the review here.

can't pose unaided huh?

and mine has a loose left knee hat i'm gonna have to tighten :P.

The trick with action poses to to make sure one of the swords touches the ground, unless he's running but I haven't managed it yet due to the loose joint

But see, you 'cheated' like I did. You had to use one of the swords to counterbalance :P

I haven't tried any over the top action poses, but I will say this- I was very surprised just how stable mine is (I've had it for a while).

Try rotating the feet so that the heel takes the weight instead of the toe. The heels are quite stable, and ?I think? are actually the official transformation instead of the toe anyhow.

this is a hard call because I'm leaning more and more on just waiting for the human alliance figures...I like what I see here but I like to have the best version of the toy I want....hmmmmm

Based off the HA photo we saw, (and the most recent batch of BB HA photos) I have a feeling that defining which version is better will be complicated. Even though I'm a HUGE BT/ALT fan, I'm getting the feeling from the photos that compromises had to be made to allow humans to sit inside the vehicles (not really surprising).

I think it's going to come down to this- if you want tons of features the HA will be much better. If you want well proportioned more movie accurate toys the deluxe may just win out (which disappoints me).

I'm definitely getting HA BB, but I have a sneaking suspicion my premium deluxe will end up being the favorite version (and therefore the one who gets prime shelf space).

If the HA Sideswipe can stand up on his lonesome then I'll wait until August and get that version.
