Regarding the theories about Cybertron starting out life as either a organic or metalic planet.

IT CAN EXIST IF IT IS FORMED THROUGH UNNATURAL MEANS SUCH AS A GIANT ROBOT GOD OF CREATIONS WILLING IT.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT ITS POSSIBLE TO NATURALLY OCCUR IN REAL LIFE. WHAT A STUPID BASIS FOR A THREAD. WERE NOT RETARDED. WE REALIZE THAT THE POSSIBILITY THAT A CYBERTRON EXISTS AMONG THE STARS IS UNLIKELY.

And in your original post you DID state that all planets are MADE from the same stuff. In your latest post you amend that to include "has or at one time had".

Also what do you think a molten core is? It's rock and metal pal. No organic swishy wishy washy stuff. Metals such as Aluminum, Gold, Platinum and Magnesium are suspected to be naturally occurring in many other planets as well. How scientists can tell is beyond me, but its universally accepted.

You CAN NOT possibly know the universe. The universe is infinitely impossible to fully comprehend. It is impossible to state that we as a stupid freakin species know ALL ABOUT celestial bodies when we can only see so far into the universe.

Also there is some metal that can self-repair itself. It's not perfect at this stage however. Google it.

Your suggesting that in order for a possible Cybertron to exist in real life, since there is no type of metal capable of all the descriptors you listed, that it must be made of man-made compositions of metals such as Steel and Titanium (Alloy). Which by our understanding of the way life evolves is incomprehensible (again leading to my point that the entirety of the universe is unknowable and therefor all things are possible exponentially, thus my googalplex quote). Titanium could be found on another planet. Your thinking of Titanium Alloy, which is man made.

Asteroids are probably usually the result of ancient cataclysmic impacts. But most are a result from impacts with celestial bodies that probably weren't technically planets at the time. During the Big Bang it's likely that many things that are now planets and asteroids collided together before you could classify either as such. My point being is that your statement attempts to blanket all asteroids as the result of planets colliding with each other, which again, universe=infinitely unknowable=that statement can never be proven. Not until we invent a way to see back into time and watch everything.

If Cybertron did exist in real life, it could be classified as a planet I believe. Later fictions such as BW and BM show Cybertron orbiting around a star. Check. Spherical, indicating a gravitation field. Check [Whether or not through natural planetary means or some other technology based way is debatable]. It has a clear orbit as is there is nothing in it's way as it rotates around it's star. Check.

Cybertron given it's orbit and possible distance from it's sun could have a molten core. Or a molten core around Primus' spark chamber. No way to really know.

Trying to comprehend how an extra-terrestrial species came into being without OUR basic building blocks to life is pointless. Also I should mention that the creation of our planet Earth, as well as our evolution into human beings and all things around us here are explainable by science. The Transformers and their world are different. They were molded with an almighty guiding hand analogous to God.

Whether or not Earth is really a massive space God at it's core remains to be seen.

Sometimes not everything will be spelled out for you. sometimes you've got to read thru the lines, grab the hints & come to your own conclusion. Simon furman in the ultimate guide book describes the "one" like the jewish earth bible descibes God. Simon furman in the ultimate guide book describes the "one" like the various Star trek alien races descibes the one God.

in the simon furman ultimate guide book. their are art sketches of both primus & unicron in their pre forms before they smashed into their asteriods prisions. both primus & unicron in their pre-forms in the ultimate guide book are clearly drawn looking like huge metalic robots. the "one" clearly didn't create primus & unicron in their pre-forms as huge organic beings.

regarding the planets or asteriods thing. asteriods are tiny fragments of what once use to be a planet. planets collide into each other all the time & the crash/explosion creates asteroids.

And that is why I keep getting you in Jenga. Go read the marvel comic and you will see Primus and Unicron in their pre asteroid bodies that are not robotic. Ultimate guide is full of retcons. Read the original

And now your backtracking. Have fun

I got Jenga :wave

@Breaker,

in the fictional story.

1-The sole purpose of this thread was to say: "The beastmachines writers were not the first to write the planet cybertron as once being a organic planet with a organic core that later got turned into a metalic world.

2- the beastmachines writers clearly did some research & noticed that the TF G-1 1980's cartoon & comic writers wrote cybertron as once being organic that got turned into a metalic world. The beastmachines writers took what the G-1 writers wrote & re-used it.

3- no one is saying in this thread, that cybertron didn't get transformed from a organic planet/asteroid into a metalic planet/asteroid. so i don't know where your getting this from.

4- according to simon furman, the man responsible for writing the Primus origins. both primus & unicron were created by the "one".

primus & unicron had a huge battle. both primus & unicron crashed into nearby organic based asteroids. for a long time the asteriods became their prisons. thru time primus & unicron were able to use their god like powers to reshape their asteriods prisions into metalic worlds. unicron was able to transform his metalic world into a giant robot mode. primus chose to create children on the metalic world he fashioned.

in the real reality.

1- Everything in the universe started out life as comming from the same stuff. all the planets are formed of rock based materials. thru time conditions made some stuff different.

2- it's impossible for a planet to be created in real life out of metal or worse living metal that can self heal itself.

3- can a advanced race,be able to coat their entire planet in metal. in real life no. their are no advantages of coating a planet's outside & inside full of metal. metal is a conductor it absorbs heat & it absorbs cold. if the planet is too close to the sun,the sun's rays will heat up the metal planets outer coating & cause it to go on fire & melt everything on the surface. If the planet/asteroid is too far away from the sun, coating the planet/asteroid full of metal will cause it to freeze up much faster & kill every life on the planet thru being frozen to death.

4-to coat a entire planet on the outside & inside full of metal. you'd either have to ripp the inner planet apart looking for & taking the metal from the core, then take the metal ore & put them thru a rigorous process to create defined fashioned metals like steele,titanium,etc... ripping the core apart & stealing it's metal ore's will destroy the planet.

5- going to a nearby planet/asteroid,stripping it of it's metal ores & adding it to another planet in the form of coating that planet will a outer metal & inner metal. will cause the planet getting the metal coating to become too heavy in space, affect it's orbit around the sun, kill it & so forth.

6- a planet needs to live to support life. for a advanced race to coat their planet with metal outside & in. this will kill the planet & it's life forms.

7- it's worth a serious mention that the scientific community have thus far come to the conclusion. that only planets that are near the sun can or might have supported life. planets too far away from the sun,ice up,freeze & cant support life in it's current frozen planet conditions. a planet needs a atmosphere to shield it from the suns harmful rays. without a atmosphere a planet too close to the sun can heat up much faster, heat up the planet to intense levels. even if a planet is too far away from the sun,it still needs a atmosphere to be able to support life & shield the planet from stuff in space. COATING A ENTIRE PLANET FULL OF METAL ON THE OUTSIDE & INSIDE would kill the planets atmosphere & life on the planet.

I rather prefer to keep the cartoon and comic continuity separate. While people may say that because TF say Primus in Beast Wars/Machines that it must be in the comic universe, I don't think so. The comic had shown for sure that Cybertron was Primus, even has his head in there. But the cartoon would make more sense to be with Beast Machines only for a few reasons.

In Beast Machines, they go underground and end up finding rock instead of metal. It also shows the layers of Cybertron that were built up over time. Now you can go back to watch FFoD and other origin related episodes in G1 and there is one scene that talks about how the Quintessons started Cybertron. Note the wording in the show as it does imply that Cybertron was not a unique endevour on their part. Either way, in G1 cartoon, Cybertron started out as a planetoid, or some other space object that was not made out of metal. It was originally used for manufacturing, and as time went on, the metal surface was built up. And it ended up being built in layers on top of itself.

Shadowpanther:

The main thing that bugs me about your statements with regards to this subject is that you are taking something that is clearly and completely rooted in fiction and you are trying your best to organize (?marginalize) it in a scientific fashion, when more than a little bit of what passes for "science" in this day and age is absolutely subject to scrutiny. It is the highest level of arrogance to suggest that life could exist only in a form we could recognize. Every reference you are making is framed by the rules dictated by living organisms whose perceptions are utterly restricted and limited to our biosphere. Coating OUR planet in metal would destroy OUR biosphere. We barely even know what life is. To think we can catelogue it across a universal scale is absolutely stupefying to me.

It's a big universe, and science is not said universe's canon.

  • 3 weeks later...

Cybertron was originally an organic world. Go watch Beast Machines. :P ;)

Except for the fact that most fans and Hasbro themselves have disowned beast machines and its back to being Primus :wave
