Add more segments to Beast Wars TM Megatron/Armada Predacon tail?

After seeing this excellent custom from spoonman at TFW2005.com (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/582655-animated-sludge-3-6-a.html)...

I have been inspired to make one for myself in case Hasbro does not produce and release all of the Dinobots from Fall of Cybertron.

But instead of giving him a fixed neck, I want to give him an articulated one and so far my best bet is the tail from either Beast Wars Transmetals Megatron or Armada Predacon (as seen in the pic below).

After carefully taking apart and analyzing the tail of my own Armada Predacon, I found that the ball and socket joints of each segment are the same size. Therefore, I believe it is possible to add more segments from the tail of another Armada Predacon.

But before I jump the gun, I would like to know if anybody has tried to add more segments from the tail of one Beast Wars Transmetal Megatron and/or Armada Predacon to another one?

If so, then I could use this as a first step towards making a custom Paddles as well.

No,I haven't tried this.

I love this TM1 Megatron toy mold. I view it as the best beastwars megatron toy mold out all the BW megatron toys created. I chose to get the Takara metals version because the colors are leaps & bounds better than Hasbro's version.
