  1. Long time no post. Anyhow, I have recently been getting back into the TF scene with Combiner Wars. Placed an order with TFSource about a week ago on their sale. I got the product just fine and the charge went through. However, today I find that the debit card I used has been phished and my bank shut the card down (I love my bank, they're so proactive). Turns out some out of country ISP provider tried to slip a $130 charge on my card. There were other transactions pending but the bank shut them down. Working on a claim to get the $130 charge reversed. After reviewing my statement, the only trigger I could see was my TFSource purchase. Everything else has been local. If you have purchased from them lately, check your statements and make sure nothing unusual is on there.

  3. Hard to believe that it's been 7 years since Transformers: Animated rolled out onto Cartoon Network. For three seasons, this US produced series brought a new spin on the Transformers universe. While the art stylings were controversial to some, the series did an admiarable job of tying in the TF multiverse to keep all fan bases happy. Sadly, Hasbro and Cartoon Network dissolved their relationship. Worse yet, only 2 of the 3 seasons were ever commercially released before the 2 entites went their separate ways. Finally, Shout Factory is filling the void by offering the complete series in one DVD set. The DVD set is in the form of 6 DVDs packaged in one standard sized case. The cover is somewhat vanilla, with well known stock images of the Autobots laced around the front. Be warned, this is a theme with the packaging overall. Each season's DVDs (2 per season) are color coded, with one character featured on each disc (the 5 core Autobots of the series plus Starscream). The left inner jacket contains an episode listing while the right inner jacket has another Autobot group shot. The set is true to it's word as far as standard content. Every episode, from the 3-part pilot to the season 3 finale is represented. The sound quality is also there, with the audio being coded in Dolby Digital. However, those who don't utilize English as a primary language will be disappointed to know that the set is only in English, with no subtitles or dubs. Also disappointing is that every DVD uses the same root title screen. Users can pick PLAY ALL or EPISODES. On the subject of extras, here is the bonus content that is included with this set: Audio commentary on the episodes "Garbage In, Garbage Out" and "Transwarped" That's it. Where the original season sets offered galleries, the complete series offers audio commentary that (in the case of Garbage In Garbage Out) was already featured. That becomes awkward considering the fact that this DVD set is only available via Amazon.com at the price of $35.97. Consider that you can purchase Season 3 directly from Shout Factory's website for $8.99; and find the first 2 seasons relatively easy for about $4-$6 used per season; and $35.97 seems way off base. It's great that fans of the Transformers Animated series can now enjoy all three seasons from the confort of their DVD player or computer. Fortunately, those who already own the first 2 seasons can buy Season 3 and not miss out on anything. While this complete series collection is conveniently packaged, there is nothing extra that justifies it's lofty pricepoint. I can only recommend this set for those who don't have any of the series on media yet and want the convenience of buying it without a hunt.
  4. Got tired of Transformers overall. Pretty much sold off my entire collection and just reminisce with show marathons now and then. Seeing what has been coming out from AOE has solidified my choice to escape the TF universe.
  5. Step One complete: All my Generations and RTS figures are up on BST. Next week: Perhaps Animated.

  6. Back from the dead... just in time to offload my old collection. Postings soon

  7. Taking the week off from social media. Just for giggles.

  8. This weekend: Concert... car show... charity dinner. I'd rest Sunday but that's laundry day

  9. Yay! New furniture is being ordered for the office. Be nice to get rid of this FrankenOffice we have now

  10. Sigh... vacations never last that long no matter how many days you take... back in purgatory again

  11. Heading to the coast for a couple of days. Celebrating the new year by getting out of this dump of a valley

  12. Vacation in T minus 250min and counting...

  13. Friendly tip: If you don't like what someone posts and you can't be civil about it, please don't post anything. Take your mother's advice.
