Excellent episode.

Starscream dying repeatedly was pretty funny though at the same time a bit redundant. I love running gags but to always have Blitzwing and Lugnut dump him into the water repeatedly was a bit unrealistic.

After having him return three/four times after having him dumped I would have been like Dammit stop just throwing him off the cliff already, instead ionize him or something. Still pretty funny, and Megatron probably doesn't mind repeatedly killing off Starscream.

Sentinal Prime amazingly is able to prove himself a bigger a**hole than previous episodes. His blatant regard for traffic laws seems to fit his alt mode. A big freaking snowplow 4X4 that can pretty much plow through anything. Seeing how big he is compared to Prime I can see how most people are dissapointed in him only being a deluxe.

Awesome to see the Decepticons finally form as a team. Loving Blitzwing. Megatron is pure :awsum

:animated FTW.

Yeah, Sentinel Prime's arseholeness really irked me, especially after he seemed to have made some progress at the Headmaster incident... (-_-) I was hoping that Sentinel would at least be less of a dick toward Optimus during private conversations just between the two of them when he's not trying to impress others. *sigh* that was an unfortunate leap backward for Sentinel's character development.

And after reading 5 pages of this thread I'm surprised that nobody's picked up the whole undead Starscream thing as another nod to G1*. ;)

Although I would argue that he's technically not really a zombie - he retains his full persona and other attributes. Starscream is certainly undead, but he doesn't seem to be a zombie in the traditional sense, certainly not like other zombie TFs that we've seen in the past.

___________

*that's right folks, I've actually restrained myself from posting another TF history lesson! ;)

My son and I just finished watching it this morning. Another solid episode. I hope that this show goes on more many more seasons. The writing is great. I love the multidimensional characters that they are gradually building. After finishing watching the G1 series again with my son, it just re-enforces how flat the characters were in that show. Having characters just appear without any explanation was terrible. The story for TFA just seems to so cohesive, and for the most part, each ep advances the major plot line.

LOVE IT!!

Well...as in real life, people don't just change overnight - especially when they're as douche-y as Sentinel.

Yes, but I was hoping to see some element of change - even if it were minor. But I didn't really see any other than his attempt to seduce/bribe Optimus into concurring with him about the lack of Decepticons on Earth. After the ending of "Return of the Headmaster" I was hoping that Sentinel would be less of a bully toward Optimus at least on a personal level during private conversations with him - even if he acted the same in front of others.

I was really glad to see Optimus beat the snot out of Sentinel though. :) You go girl!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but Ironhide is identical to cybertron mode Ratchet with a different head. Another nod to G1. You can see the stripes that looks like the top of an X on Ironhide which are the same as Ratchet when he was in is Cybertron form. He also had what appears to be sirens on his shoulders, just like Ratchet. Even if this is his only shot on the show (Highly unlikely) I'm sure they will make a toy of him since is it just a head swap and repaint.

So, ummm, yeah.

You guys are all total dorks for talking about this episode before it even aired in the US.

Now there's nothing to talk about. :tfmad
