Review - Transformers Generations Thundercracker

Back in December when I reviewed Starscream, I was very much in support of the idea of a new set of seekers drawn off of that mold. Less than a year later, I've been rewarded with my next installment on that plan, and Skywarp is already on the books to hit sometime earlyish next year. The promise of the core three seekers in a total stretch of a little more than a year must be a relief to many given it took nearly five years to do the same thing using the Classics mold at US retail. Nice review Exvee. I love this mold...and I am happy to see that we will get a complete set of the Original 3 seekers. I maybe in the minority...but I would love a set of these guys as FOC Rainmakers, Acid Storm, Sun Storm, and Ice Storm as Botcon exclusives for 2014. I mean they sold out in record time this year this year...so I'm' sure it wouldn't be much of a gamble for them to do. :)

BTW...where or what are those snazzy stands you used in your pictures?

I was really glad that this year's Air Warriors were the Classics seeker body so I'd have no impulse to obtain them. I'd have been frothing at the mouth if they'd been this toy.

The stands are Tamashii Stages, these being Act 5 in particular. They're made and sold in Japan by Bandai's collector figure branch. A set of parts for three complete stands runs $12-$15 before shipping. Unfortunately they only come in clear plastics and do not stand up to use all that great. I got a set of Act 3 a few years ago and all the important parts were broken in just a few months. Act 5 is a little bit better because it's specially made with heavier figures in mind, but parts are still slowly cracking where they bear weight.
