SP, whats the point of making new figures if they'll look EXACTLY THE SAME as the old ones?! there's NOOOOO FUN in that!! you might as well just buy all the G1 stuff and give up.

What's the sense in making obvious homage G-1 newer toys,if the scale is wrong,over-size. this to me seems like a pure waste.

You're asking for clones. not an homage.

No,I'm asking for proper size scale. because some like myself like to display stuff on display shelves. I don't need over sized stuff like those movie verse ultimate & leader sized bumblebee toys.

Anyways,FWIW,Slightly smaller more accurate 1980's TF toy scaled 3rd party TF Combiners would mean they'd cost less to buy. like 50% plus less

To me,the energon toy line did the best homage G-1 styled combiners. as they were in proper size scale in relation to their G-1 toys.

I kinda wish all the 3rd party TF combiners were Compatible & sized to fit the hasbro three energon combiners. with the same exact connector/slots pegs/plugs. this way one could mix & match 3rd party combiners with the energon 5-in-1 combiners.

You sir, have a VERY bizarre definition of "proper". And apparently some very small shelves, lol

Me, too. They're pretty spectacular looking.

Hopefully, the Not Aerialbots will toss scale out the window just like the G1 set did and just concentrate on putting forth the best possible homage that they can produce. Realistically, scale will always be an issue with almost any of the combiners if one is dead-set on putting them in a realistic setting:

1) The Aerialbots: considering what Silverbolt turns into, the combination process should not be able to work at all;

2) The Combaticons: Blast-Off is a fucking space shuttle. On his own, he'd dwarf any of the existing combiner gestalt modes into insignificance and Swindle is just a jeep.

3) The Protectobots: Even if you could broadly fit these guys together into some vague semblance of scale, Groove throws it off;

4) The Stunticons: Motormaster throws off the whole thing unless one wants Motormaster to be composed solely of the cab and not the cab and trailer;

5) The Predacons: Considering that Predakings' entire upper torso and his upper extremities are composed of a tiger, a lion and an eagle while his legs are considerably larger creatures (an African Cape Buffalo and a rhinoceros of indeterminate species), this set-up should not be able to work at all;

Thank god G1 ignored scale, we'd have none of those toys otherwise!

Is anybody else craving a 3rd party update for the Terrorcons? I keep on forgetting all about them when I think about combiner squads, and yet this group was one of my favorites--especially Hun-Grr's G1 toy. Now that was an event.

I want them all at some point, but yes, I would freakin love an Abominus! Aside from Devs, he and Computron were always my favorites. They were the first two teams I completed.

You asking for proper size? Then you should be asking for bigger versions of the figures instead of the same G1 sinzes that were anything But properly sized. These newer homages and upgrades from both Hasbro, Takara, and the 3RD Party companies are doing what we all want and to ask for 3 inch tall figures instead of what we have now is just sad. I'd rather have the 6 inch tall figures then new tiny G1 paper weights.

The energon 5-in-1 combiners did the 1980's scramble city homage toys the best proper scale. their is nothing wrong with wanting this energon combiners scale repeated. deluxe for the core leaders is a decent size & not small by any means. the limbs bots in G-1 were always small,So basic sized toys seems like the perfect fit for them. those energon 5-in-1 combiners created leader sized Gestalts which is quite big sized & not tiny by any means.

to want MP-01 & mp-05 & supreme sized or bigger gestalts is way over sized & totally out of scale with everything. Because city bots toys are supreme sized. we all know hasbro's/takara's budget will never create 24 inch nor bigger city bots in the future. lets at least try to have the new mold TF city/base bots like energon omega supreme & cybertron metroplex as bigger robots than combiners.

Like I said above which got ignored since no one commented on it. regular sized/proper scaled 3rd party combiners that have one core leader deluxe & 4 basic sized limbs WILL BE MUCH CHEAPER IN PRICE AS THEY'LL BE HALF THE SIZE OF THOSE TFC HERCULES ROBOTS & COMBINED FORM. Honestly spending $400+ in over sized combiners when one could be spending $150+ in regular sized/more true scaled combiners is a big deal in money.

Considering that most of the G1 Combiners were smaller then PM Optimus Prime, the Deluxe scout ration is insufficient. As is the scale used by the Energon combiners also insufficent when most Ultra are taller then they are. A Voyager with 4 deluxe or even better an Ultra with 4 Voyagers would work a lot better for the Combiners and worth the money,

There is nothing oversized about the combiners like Hercules and the upcoming NOT Superion. If anything they are the size that the originals should have been.

The main problem with this. is the sheer fact is their are no new age 2002 thru 2012 current/future TF city/base bots toys that are above the Supreme toy size scale. to have 3rd party combiners bigger or same scale as supreme sized city/base bots like energon omega supreme & cybertron metroplex. is just wrong,out of scale & messes up TF toys size scales on display shelves.

Actually no it doesn't, my shelves are set up by toy line, My Cybertron shelf is perfect and only missing two Transformers Buzzsaw and Swerve. Yet there is nothing wrong with the display with Primus and Metroplex in the back. My Supreme Starscream is on the shelf below them and works where he is hanging out with my two Unicrons. My 4 Movie shelves are also perfect with the Leader class in back then voyager then Deluxe and then Scout. The problem you have not even said anything about is the fact that most leader class are larger then the Energon and G1 Combiners. Even with his FP Upgrade. my Movie Superion is smaller then Cybertron's Ultra Scourge, my movie leader class Optimus Prime, Megatron, Brawl Ironhide, Sentinel Prime

Your problem SP is that you want every transformer to be exactly like their original release back in the 80's, and what was good for the 80's would not work nowadays.

TFC Toys had it right with the Constructicons. Hopefully they will have it right with the Aerialbots. and have the combined form larger that the Ultra size class, Any combiner in combined mode needs to be at least Supreme size. That would make it a proper is size ratio. Screw the cheaper crap talk. That is just saying you would prefer PCC over real gestalts. a $30 Ultra and 4 $20 Voyagers. Many would definitely pay for a a Gestalt team

They arent meant to fit in with those Energon Supremes. Theyre meant to fit in with the CHUUD lines. But who knows maybe if your lucky they'll make super supreme+++ Omega and Metroplex. I wouldn't be opposed to that, just the price it would cost :P. I'd cave on a massive Trypticon like that though.

As for messing up scale with the current CHUUD figures theres only so much you can do. You dont want a limb to tower over a deluxe or voyager, it would look out of whack (even though jets are way bigger then cars in the first place, but thats another scale issue entirely). If Superion ends up leader/supreme size he should fit in ok. As long as he can look like he could pound a voyager into the dirt with his fist and not overshadow other gestalts like Devastator or Bruticus, it's fine (I'm ok with him being the same size as Bruticus, just want him to be a head shorter then Devestator, thats how I see him in my mind).
