EXVEE WRITES: The ridiculous distribution problems in the US with First Edition Prime toys have definitely helped decrease the desire of a very vocal portion of the fandom towards subsequent, easier to find figures. I must admit I've been suffering from this myself to a degree. But even so there was one figure in the first batch that I had quite an inclination towards even as the rest of the assortment would consistently elicit little more than a "meh". Which makes it only natural this figure was packed one to a case, and so far has not turned up in later assortment lists, last I checked. Continue to full review. Read the Full News Story Here

I do agree that the horrendous distribution of the last few years has caused me to back up and leave items I would normally buy. But then so has the decrease in the size and increase of the price has caused me to not buy figures I would normally buy.

I wont buy any Prime figures at TRU unless it was FE.

$15 for Deluxe

$27 for Voyager

There is no way I would pay that, and since Walmart still hasn't gotten any Prime figures. Target has been where I have bought my Prime RiD figures

$12 for Deluxe and $20 for Voyager is fine for my wallet

So I checked a K Mart and they had all their Prime shipments still boxed on the overhead shelf. Here's the counts:

Voyagers: 2x Optimus, 1x Megatron

Deluxes: 1x Soundwave, 1x Wheeljack, 2x BB 2x Cliffjumper

So Megs and Soundwave are definitely shortpacked. At least I found Soundwave :yay

I picked up Soundwave on Friday and from the looks of this thread it appears that I lucked out on finding the figure. I like it, but it is a little spindly in the arms dept. but it works to a decent degree all the same. The knee joints are a little tricky with those flange pieces but if you work it and be careful you can bend his knees and get some decent poses.

I got him crouched with his right arm out with Laserbeak in the hole in his hand like he's sling-launching him(pix later). I really like his UAV alt mode too, and with some playing around discovered that Laserbeak will also set in the screw hole on the top of the alt mode that reminds me a little of how Skystalker and Mindwipe could pair up as well(hell, now we have a pair of Decepticon UAV's![and let's not talk about the Sunspot repaint...]). So yes, all in all a decent figure, not worth the 15USD TRU scalped me for but definitely worth 10 if you can find him at that price.

I did notice something else though, he sure does have a feel from Neon Genesis Evangelion, an Eva to be precise. Not an exact look but it is really familiar looking. And one last thing, is it me or do all of the current deluxes in the RID line suffer from "Ape" arms?

Unless K-Mart is getting their's packed differently from others, I would say your count is off

Voyager - 3 x Optimus, 1 x Megatron

Deluxe - 3 x Bumblebee, 2x Cliffjumper, 2x Wheeljack, and 1 x Soundwave.

Sorry Blitz but my Target hates me, I get them to open their boxes up all the time LOL

You might be right about the Voyagers, as I didn't open the box and it looked like only 3 might have been in there. I know my count was spot on for the Deluxes though. Maybe it was a fluke. All the BBs I've seen dangling from pegs might prove that.

I've looked in the boxes, for both the voyager holds 4 figures the Deluxe holds 8, so I know your count is off :P The Deluxe one was opened right in front of me, so I know my count is correct :D

Now if K-Mart for some unfathomable reason that makes no sense what so ever, so Hasbro is doing it, they are taking 2 out of the 8 pack Deluxe boxes and only shipping 6 per box to K-Mart
