Review: HFTD Tomahawk Figure

Wonder if they will repaint him as Vortex? :shrug

I think he'd look better as Spinister. It's closer to Tomahawk's alt mode anyway.

Yeah that could be their choice as well. I never heard of this character though.

After the Target / Powermasters I was out of TF so I missed alot of series - Armada, Energon, Beast Wars, but from what I read I didn't really miss too much. Maybe just some good figures. :D

Looks cool, I'll get him. The head looks a little too Animated-style, tho; I'd prefer a more mechanical look, like the Whirl head seen above. I happen to like my Whirl, so I don't know what I'll do. :wat

I kinda wish the alt mode looked more like an Apache. Close enough to pretend tho. Question for owners: the body of the wingtip-mounted gatlings looks like it might be the same size as the 3.5mm accessory clips, am I right? Can you clip the missile launchers there? Just another option if so.

I'm not sure what's going on here. The link works fine on my end and it's strung correctly. I'll send it up to the next level.

If you click over from the main site page it goes to the database entry for Tomahawk. If you click from just about anywhere else your ok tho.

If you mean moving them from the wings to the arms then yes you can, though it's rather unconventional. It looks like the peg used should be the right size for the hands, but I haven't seen any pics of that.

You can put the missle launcher in his hands like "guns" too. The missle is really long, so it does hit his arm.

I'm guessing you can add or swap out the parts from Darkmount that have the clip or even Recon Iron hide. :schin

I'll have to check that out when I get home today. :)

Actually I meant clipping the launchers to the gatling cannons on the wingtips. In the pic you linked to, imagine the launchers clipped onto the very tips of the wings, just outboard of the molded missiles, "hugging" the gatling cannons. Looks like that might be an extra hardpoint.

IIRC this 3.5mm clip system is universal across the TF2010 line- all weapons and figs w/ them can interchange. Fun!

EDIT- it does indeed look like the launcher pegs can fit in the hands, doesn't ROTF Dlx Dirge have a similar set-up w/ his launchers? If you're so inclined, clip the long tail off the missiles so they won't interfere w/ the arms. Caution, they will really fly because of the reduced weight.

It does look like the missile launchers can clip on the end of the wings. Must be one of those undocumented features Hasbro mentioned at one of the cons last year. :D
