Review: HFTD Breacher Figure

He looks awesome! Am I the only one who thinks that if you added some red highlights you'd have a passable mini-Optimus?

 

What? like a WW Optimus? or a WFC Optimus?

 

Dealers choice. He just has a Prime-ish look to me.

 

I can see that, though more of a young WFC Prime, well customizers get on it LOL

Yeah, back in his Orion Pax data clerk days if you read the TF: Exodus novel. Not a bad read, but liberties are taken I'm not entirely comfortable with (like Trypticon transforming into the Nemesis). Still worth checking out if you haven't read it though.

 

I might get it this weekend, I need to get somethings to read while out in the field next week. So by your logic, I woudl say it is a good read but messes things up? Good thing I don't care for official

 

And yeah a WFC or WW Orion Pax would fit a customized Breacher

Messes things up based mostly in comparison to game storyline because things are drawn out to encompass a novelization of the entire war as opposed the final days depicted in the game. Events unfold out of order and the whole thing is a little jarring if you keep the game storyline in mind (I couldn't help doing this but it wasn't as distracting as some novelizations).

 

My only other issue is that it seemed like the book was trying to be a prequel to multiple TF realities rather than unifying them (G1, Bayverse, AEC, really a little bit of everything but BWBM). I won't give you any more spoilers though(sorry about the Trypticon thing). If official doesn't bother you then the story gets a little slow at the start of the second half with Alpha Trion summarizing a good portion of the War but I think you'll still find it enjoyable. :thumb

I hear that. If you don't mind waiting a little longer Amazon had the best price I found. I believe it was $15 or $16.

Yeah Barnes and noble wants $27 for it though it is on sale for $20 LOL

 

I'll look at Amazon later and I also put one on watch on ebay. It's only $10 right now and $.95 shipping

I might try my hand on Breacher turning him into WFC Orion Pax. Only I don't know what type of paint to use.

As to customizing I know acrylic paint works best (when I say "know" I mean "heard") but from personal experience painting brush choice is almost more important. Go with soft bristles (preferably hair of some sort as opposed to artificial) to avoid undue streaking.
