It's futile to understand why Hasbro names figures the way they do. Take Darkmount. Everyone knows that he's the Decepticon tyrant known in Marvel Comics as Straxus. However you name him, this review will tell you all his details.

I'll be getting him. Even though the half-track alt mode has been done to death he's just too cool not to pick up. Plus he's a part of TF history.

You say that you like but won't buy because you aren't familiar with the character. Who cares about the character? Do you think we're all buying the Drift toy because we like Drift? If a Transformer looks good, you buy it, regardless of the characterization.

I had never heard of this figure before either, but that didn't stop me from picking him up. I am really impressed on the transformation of the turret and the Axe weapon and how they pulled it off. Gave me some good ideas for the MP Blitzwing that is on my project list.While I don't really care for the half-track he is good figure. I was told that the Axe can store on his back. Have you been able to confirm that?

 

It would also have been cool if the clip-on weapons would have combined to make a gun. Nice Review Blitz!
