Normally when a game is ported to the Nintendo Wii, a bit of the translation is lost. However, when War For Cybertron was ported over to the Wii, a lot of the translation was lost, as it's completely a different game. Just how different is it? And is it different enough to own if you have multiple consoles? Click here and find out.

Yeah, I've already played the heck out of the PS3 and DS incarnations of this game. Maybe I'll get it on clearance eventually.

Hey, this probably isn't the place but I've unlocked 29 of the 30 characters in the DS game. All that's left is Silverbolt and I figure he needs a code like Ramjet. Anyone have a clue about this?

Yeah, figures it's a crummy version, since all I have is a Wii. *goes back to Madagascar Karts*

Silverbolt was an exclusive to Toys R Us...not sure if there's a code floating around or not though.

I'm looking forward to getting the Wii game someday, from what I've seen, it's pretty fun, and the graphics aren't bad.

No kidding, huh? Wonder how I missed that?

Ok, so I read this review that the site put up, and having had the game since it broke its sale date, I must say this review is a little TOO Harsh. I posted a thread about my original disappointment at the game being an on-rails shooter. However after my original disappointment set in, I gave the game a second chance and actually enjoyed it for what it was. Yes, you can't transform and explore Cybertron at will, however the game was fast paced and actually was an ok shooter. 2 out of 10 is just a bit too low in my opinion. Transformers fans who only own the Wii will probably enjoy this game a little more than those who own the HD consoles in addition to the Wii. As a Wii only system owner, I understand I may be a little biased and perhaps I'm more willing to see past it's flaws and give it a higher rating, however I also understand that the game isn't as good as it could have been. It almost reminds me of how when the RoTF game was released last year for all the consoles and everyone said the Wii version was completely horrible, yet when I bought the game used, I actually enjoyed the arcadelike beat'em up game-play. Speaking to other Wii gamers, I remember who also had the game, they shared the same opinion as I had.

There has always been a stigma that the HD consoles are for "hardcore" gamers and the Wii is the kid friendly system, and although some may agree, I actually think the Wii is the most "hardcore gamer system" of all three. The variety of the type of games released for Nintendo's system are all over the board, where as I've noticed most of the games released on the HD consoles are First/Third Person Shooter type games, War games and like kind. The Wii offers similar titles, however there also exist more variety in the type of games as well.

Getting back to topic and Cybertron Adventures, I felt the development team could have brought over a watered down version of the WFC, however just like most 3rd party Developers on the Wii, they didn't even try. Is the game great? Not a chance. Is the game good, I think so, especially if you're used to and only experience Wii gaming. I agree that it is a definite rent, especially if you're a Transformer junkie and Wii owner, and if your reading this on this message board then most likely you are. Give it a try. At first you might be disappointed, however stick with it and you might actually enjoy the ride, cause that's exactly what it reminded me of. A ride at an amusement park.

People give On-rail shooters games crap, but the Star Wars Trilogy Arcade game from the late 90's was an on-rails shooter, and I must say I have fond memories of how much fun that game was, and playing through Cybertron Adventures kind of reminded me of that. Now that I mention it, if there was a game that was meant for the Wii, it was that.

It's all a matter of opinion. My score was based on these factors:

1) This game should have been more. A lot more. Instead of taking advantage of the unique opportunities the Wii has, they simply dumbed it down.

2) It was way too easy. At least give incentive to not come out, take a crap load of damage, then quickly hide to get it all back. Were this a real rail shooter, they could have had health or ammo packets to shoot at to make it more interesting. They didn't do that, and therefore watered the game down considerably

3) The endings after each faction campaign... to go through all that work and get something that equates to an episode wrap up with no fanfare is a huge disappointment. Why make dinner if you can't eat from it?

I can't stand a game where it has the feel that developers took the easy way out. I get that feeling here. Therefore, no sympathy points.

I think this review of the Wii Game is SPOT ON!

I rented the Wii game as soon as it came out. And I thought at first that it was okay. The game got easier as I got more into it. But I noticed that I was getting through the game fairly fast.

Then my xbox 360 console arrived and I ran down and rented the 360 game. HOLY COW, I was immediately impressed with the graphics and ignored the Wii game for about a week until I came back to play it? Yeah, right...

What a disappointment. I own the Revenge of the Fallen game for the Wii, and I'd say that was a better game than Cybertron Adventures. I finished the Cybertron Adventures game Decepticon campaign in two hours. That's terrible. The only good thing about this game is that my son enjoyed playing it with me for that two hours.

I won't even be wasting my money on getting Cybertron Adventures when it is cheap to get. I've cracked the game already and found it wanting. You get a better game for your buck with the 360. Hands down. And I imagine that the PS3 is probably just as nice.

PS... You don't even get to see Omega Supreme in it! You got a quarter of the game that the 360 got. Yeah, it's that bad. I like the Wii, but this game was just a laughable substitution. Were they even trying to make a game at all?
