That's why there's a battery compartment, my friend :thumb

Yeah, but I want to disable the Voice, not the lights and sound effects. Is there a way to do that or is there a way to flash the chip and add my own voice/quotes?

Personally, it doesn't matter to me whether this figure is 'masterpiece' quality or not. It's huge, it's awesome and it puts the Voyager molds to shame. Be happy :bounce

I think it's way beyond MP quality.

As for the voice recorder question, they make small recorder/pens you can buy at Staples.

You should be able to fit something that small in there.

...now THIS is what I'm talking about.

Other than his wrists and the voice gimmick, this toy is as close to being perfect as I could ever hope to expect. This figure is the class of the Bayverse toyline, hands-down. I love the little gimmicks, the major gimmicks, the articulation, the fact that this iteration of the Bayverse Screamer is actually solid and effectively kibble-free and closer to the CGI art than I would have ever believed possible-even after the minor miracle that was ROTF leader class Prime.

Both modes look fantastic, the transformation ALONE is worthy of the title (and the price tag) of a leader class figure, and he is both proportionate and stable in his base mode. As for whether or not this toy is masterpiece quality...I'e got MP Prime, Megs, Screamer and Grimlock and ROTF LC Screamer stands tall with the best of them. I love this toy. I love the voice gimmick less, but its a small, small complaint.

Don't hem and haw, don't wait to get this guy later, get this toy NOW.

I wonder if I can just connect the 2 wires that go to the speaker to each other and remove the speaker and it will still work. I know speakers draw some power, so any EE out there to help?

Don't know if I want to Destroy the Speaker.....as I may try pen thing from Staples if I like the figure enough.

I got Leader class Starscream today and I have to say that it is the best of all the Leader class toys that Hasbro put out. The robot mode is most impressive while the jet mode is good, but still too bulky for me to call this toy perfect.

Takomy still has no right to sell this toy in the Masterpiece line, if that is indeed what they plan to do.
