Transformers 3 To Be In 3D, Villain & Some Plot Details Revealed

Ok I Love the Shockwave Idea. But I have a wait and see thing going here. Hell Bay could do the whole soundwave deal with shocky. But I have to say this the News that Tf3 will be in 3D Proves that:

MICHAEL BAY IS THE BIGGEST FREAKING LIAR EVER!

Didn't he say that he would be against TF3 in 3d? That it made no sense? Then again he also said Megan Fox was going to be in the third move too. How can the guy who's Directing the movie not know anything about it?

All that would make him the biggest liar ever?

Megan Fox kept bad mouthing himup to the point of shooting. Honestly, no job will take that, so reguardless of what he said, she dug her own grave.

The film now being shot in 3-D, I'm sure he still doesn't want to. I'm also sure that the studios are pressuring him to no end about it. These things happen on jobs too, after all, everyone has a boss and it's been determined that on both Hasbro and Paramounts side, all they want is the money.

3-D tickets cost more then regular ickets after all

As for other matters, well, he said long ago, he's gonna have fun screwing with fanboy heads during the production process. I love the fact that even when it's beyond obvious, it never fails to raise the blood pressure.

Then again, we're talking about fanboys. They could give out free dollars for nothing, and a fanboy would still bitch to no end.

Here's all I care about in this article really, TF2(which was enjoyable in it's own right) should have been better and they're striving for that.

Yahoo has a similar article up from MovieTalk

http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/movie-talk-transformers-fans-to-receive-a-shock.html

I love this article cause it actualy goes on to call out the predictability of fanboy ranting

Transformers fans will be the first to heed this warning: Don't get too excited about this announcement. Remember when Michael Bay also announced that fan-favorite Soundwave would be featured in the second film? Remember how that turned out? Soundwave, who as a toy transformed into a cassette player, spent about three minutes onscreen (if that) as some sort of spy satellite in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."

So with the way Bay treats his main villian in every movie, does this mean Shockwave will spend the whole movie frozen in a block of ice, then thawed out to be killed, or stuck in a chair the whole movie, only to get released and killed?

BTW - A Bay Transformers movie in 3D, what a great way to make it give me an even bigger headache. PASS.

This is going to happen.

The way it SHOULD happen. TF3 involves getting the Decepticon warship up and running, succeed and then at the end, transforms into Trypticon. A city sized badass that rains death on the Autobots leaving them in despair. Sets up Omega Supreme to arrive with reinforcement, battle of epic proportions, etc. The film ends with Megatron finally getting back into contact with Shockwave who is just starting to fire up space bridges all over Cybertron. Sets up TF4.

Now that I said that, itll never happen. I just want a Nemesis that TFs into Trypticon damnit.

I like the way you think. :thumb

I'll defend starscream to my death. Why should I stop? They didn't fix the problem, now, did they?

It was fixed. They took a cowardly gay robot and turned him into a cowardly occasionally bad ass robot.

Wrong. They took a cunning, scheming, destruction-loving robot and turned him into some fat ugly abomination. I'm sick and tired of all the accusations that G1 screamer was gay. Sure he was a bit of a fruit, but that does NOT make him gay, nor is it the reason I liked the character.

Watch Cybertron and Animated. THOSE are the perfect Starscreams right there

The Bayverse RUINED the character. Not only did they do what I just mentioned, but they also turned him into some drone. Where's the Starscream that loves chaos and destruction? Where's the Starscream who smirks at the thought of ruling the Decepticons? Where's the Starscream who charges headlong into battle? He was NOWHERE to be seen in the movies. And he is sadly missed

Starscream was scheming, but he was far from cunning, and constantly a coward whenever confronted. He's like that video of the fat kid who pics a fight and runs away crying for mommy after the first hit.

AEC Starscream was awesome, but man that was no Starscream concerning the source matterial. Honor, loyalty, dedication. He didn't get into the destruction bit until Cybertron where outside of one fight he went right back to having his ass kicked.

Now I know you hate the movies, it's your right. But lets answer your question about Chaos and destruction.

Who makes the first attack that takes out Bumblebee's legs?

Who flies around taunting jet fighters as he picks them off for fun?

Who starts taking kill shots, without caring that Megatron is in the way?

Who takes over when Megatron gets defeated?

Who's the first to state it was an act of loyalty when Megatron returns out of fear of getting shot to holy hell?

Who's the first to run after a single hit in both the mission city and forrest battles?

Who's the guy who suggests the exact opposite of chaos and destruction to Megatron on top of a sky scraper?

Who suggests it a true to nature cowardly manner that the Decepticons retreat?

All pansy ass starscream. You can hate the design, and confuse AEC Starscream with G1 Starscream, but really for the screan time he had the movie hit his mennerisms right on the head.

Also, what Starscream drones?

Not for anything, I hated Animated, and couldn't stant looking at that shortbus figure. One thing I really liked about it was that character wise they really delivered on Starscream being an egotistical coward who even after becoming near immortal couldn't get a dam thing done.

I'll just PM you about it....

As for the topic, I'm never taking anything bay says for truth anymore. Remember how he tried to cover his ass when we started seeing lots of Megatron pics? Said he was only in a flashback. It's like he's trying to use some sort of JJ Abrams "omg everything needs to be secret" tactics and doing an even WORSE job.

Watch Shockwave have maybe 1 or 2 minutes on screen tops

Okay TF 3 is going to be in 3-D, an Shockwave will be there too, but I'm betting that he will not have an alternet mode of a gun in TF 3. Why? Because Bay turned down the idea of the alternet mode of gun with Megatron in TF 2007. I can see Shockwave as a jet like in WFC though.

Bay turned down the idea of Megatron turning into a handgun. In the fiction, Bruticus aside, Shockwave was never treated as a handgun.

yep, he was just a flying gun.

While I like Gun Megatrons and such for toys, I can see why they wouldn't want to use it as an alt in the fictions again.

What I'd like to see are the gun/bots remade as placement cannons. Especialy Megatron, I have yet to see a tank Megatron that I really liked.

Shockwave as a alien placement cannon would be awesome movie or otherwise. Just take the origional concept and make the grip a base and your done.

All that said I look forward to what they come up with, outside of a few figures I've liked all the movie designs. Even those few I'd pin more on Hasbro then Bay and Co.

I'm excited about a 3rd movie, and the decision to use Shockwave. Doesn't mean that the previous movies (esp #2) were anywhere near up to the potential they could have been - but it's still great to have a blockbuster TF movie to see. The key is lower your expectations and be pleasantly surprised instead of expecting a Michael Angelo masterpiece film from Bay.

while i'm very excited about the movie - i'm absolutely "DONE" with the movie line toys. I might get a couple of the LEADER toys if they are done well - but even if they do much better this time - i'm done with them. I enjoy being a completist, and they screwed up #2 so bad, i have no desire to pick them back up.
