love how jazz looks, but I was really, really hoping that the human alliance line would make it into a bigger size class with an ironhide/lennox combo. on the other hand, i am not going to complain, as long as the line is continuing at all! long live human alliance!

in fact, I would be all for human alliance characters that were not in the movie at all... and a 12" optimus with removable matrix would just be...ahh...

I have to be honest, I am swiftly losing all interest in the PCC line... :-(

Limbs DO NOT have robot modes or names *

that is regarding the power core combiners.. i didn't know that.. now i'm disappointed.

you'd think that with the technology these days they'd be able to make a quality combiner.

Really? Then they are even worse than I thought.

I'd possibly get the Bruticus and Superion sets but that's just because I didn't pick up the ROTF/Energon Bruticus. Also, I'm sure one to two years down the road some third party will remake the arms and legs to transform into robots and charge an arm and a leg for them.

We know hasbro isn't suffering at all with those record profits so it's a wonder why they won't just put out a really good combiner instead of an almost good gestalt.

I do have to say, I actually like the rallybots, but other than that, the whole line of PCC is a pass for me so far. Hailstorm looks pretty sweet. but please, Hasbro! more human alliance figs! I have seriously not been so excited about a TF line since alternators, which I guess makes sense, as they are so similar. I just love having big, solid Transformers towering over little people all over my desk and such :-).

Cause why chum the water when the fish are already in the nets?

Hasbro lately reminds me of Toyota. This has nothing to do with the recalls, that just ice the cake.

During the 80's and 90's, you couldn't beat a Toyota. Everyone was a solid dependable car, and their profits showed it deservingly so.

In the late 90's it started getting to their heads, they satrted making crucial cutbacks. Easy proof, go up to any Toyota between then and now and look in the inside door jam behind the fender. You won't see metal like on most cars. You'll see a painted piece of styrofoam with a soda can thin fender curved around the outer edge of it.

Still, the name was known, the mileage was good. Then in 2002, "bumpers" especialy on the left side began falling off over the slightest tap especialy on the higher end models.

Still profits where good, so why not cut back a bit more?

That brings them to today, with the lowest class cars having better safety ratings and countless recalls.

The problem is the money went to their heads, and by making a cut here and a cut there, they made even more. However eventualy that caught up with them, and they cut their own throats by sacraficing the reliablilty they were origionaly known for.

The exact same thing is happening here. Pick up a TF1 Real Gear or Energon/Cybertron scout and a TF2 scout, you can't deny the plastic in the newer figure is cheaper. You can't deny the figure is smaller. You also can't deny that the new one costs more.

Alot of these new figures look near skelital, downsized, and simplistic(lookin at the drones). You can already see there will be QC issues just from the pics(which has been a ever growing issue0. While Hasbro may still be giving us some nice figures, they're cutting to many corners that they'll just wind up impaling themselves on unles they get back to QC basics while still exploring new designs.

Is Elita-1 a new mold or repaint?

Also Im kinda bummed the new combiners are over-glorified megazords... Well actually not really, as long as they look decent.

She's a redeco of Chromia. Poor choice of mold IMO. If they were going to redeco anyone (or preferrable retool), is should have been Arcee. They have similar bike modes and similar robot modes, the only major difference being that the front wheel isn't on the "legs" of "Elita", but rather her left hand. This would actually be an easy modification to make to the Arcee mold, which it looks like I'll end up doing after all (though I may still get the actual figure as well).
