Review: Human Alliance Barricade Figure

I notched his grill so the bumper ends would fit into it, sort of the bent-metal look from the CG art. Also painted the grill black, along with lots of the brown parts, looks MUCH better. Trimmed down the grey blocks so his hips swing wider. Cut apart his fingers so they can move separately. I also modded his leg kibble, the taillight sections, so they can rotate to be more in-line with his legs.

 

Frenzy is way too tall, tho. I cut some out of his legs to shorten him a bit.

 

This may be my favorite HA fig, he's quite great, esp. after some simple mods.

 

Canyou post a pic? I'm curious what you have done and what it looks like.

 

 

I really wish that Hasbro would continue this toy line beyond the movie characters.

I do like how the bumper positions to be more screen acurate. And i see and somewhat agree with what Tim is saying, about positioning things to look like our known bots. But i also agree with having opinions. hmmmm

The best HA to date IMO, just because it's a real improvement to the deluxe version, and it's very poseable too, also, the face gimmick in the one I got is made in such a way you can let the mouth opened to display like running and screaming. Also the inside is clearer and more convincent than the others HA series.

and as for the size of frenzy. i think he's a perfect size, it's the humans that look to small. i mean, they're decent for the vehicle modes, but for the robot modes they are WAY too small. with frenzy, he can fit into barricades chest, then in robot mode he can come out, and be in pretty decent scale to barricade. i think the humans should be at least 3.75" sized when compared to the human alliance robot modes.

 

The humans look much better with the deluxe versions of the characters. I posted somewhere here a shot of Sam with (a) deluxe BB in car mode, and he looked about right.
