Peaugh's got his hands on the new Scout Class Figure Deadlift and shows us all that it is in fact a blatant homage to the Go-Bot Spoons.

Peaugh has also been nice enough to provide us with a first look at Scout Class Beachcomber as submitted today.

That color scheme is so much better than the one used for Dirt Boss.

I have to agree there. The paint contrast looks really good. I especially like the color of the appendages, almost looks like they have a metallic sheen to it.

The new colors on the head make its face clearly visible. This is a good example of a repaint done right. Though I fear Hasbro will not keep the original name. SPOOOOOOOOONS!

see this is how Go-Bots should be worked into Transformers.

The idea of a subline would be to much, but this fits the bill nice.

I agree with LE. I wonder what this guy's name will be though? I hope it won't be just another random Minicon name picked out by one of Hasbro's Lawyercons.

Liftor who ruled was about the best minicon. What was the name of the guy who came with Hoist, that thing sucked.

One would think they'd go with Spoons, but if Crasher was released as Fracture, who know what can muddle that up.

We'll all know who he is though, and he shall be known as Giganticon Ciscotang reguardless of what the package sayes.

No way! The Go-bots had thier chance and could not survive extinctiom. I'm not bashing them but it's time to move on. I hope this isn't some kind of weird 'gate-way' plot to bring them back. Seriously didn't you see the Matt Tracker figure in the New G.I. Joe line?

If they did a Gobots line in the vein of TF Classics I'd be all over that. At least it'd be something worth buying since the only TF line out now is the craptastic RoTF line.

I think they should bring the GoBots back in and work them into regular continuity. I know quite a few fans that have been wanting that to happen ever since Hasbro bought the license. At the very least it may be a shot in the arm to Transformers that may help to revitalize the license. Don't even need to call it GoBots, just have them be some new Transformers based on the classic GoBot characters. They already reused leader One, the character of Crasher, now we have Spoons (sort of) and Im just waiting for Turbo and Cy-Kill to show and we'll be that much closer XD

Definitely. They had Leader-1 in Armada...I'm perplexed as to why they have not done a Cy-Kill homage yet.

The movie TF Reverb is an homage to the Gobot Dart. A lot of the Gobot names are pretty generic (Crasher included) so Hasbro probably doesn't have the rights to use them.

Probably just a coincidence but in Japan, the Minicon Incinerator was named Turbo.

Looks like this guy's name is "Deadlift." What does Hasbro do, pull two random words out of a hat and slap them together?

Beachcomber review added.

Deadlift is actually an appropriate name for a forklift. Deadlifting is a wieghtlifting excercise where you squat down and grab a barbell then stand straight up lifting with your legs.

Passing on Beachcomber. Dune Runner is a great figure, but the toy just isn't Beachcomber.

Beachcomber was a recreational buggy and that matched his personality. Dune Runner is a war machine, and while that is awesome, it isn't Beachcomber.
