The original Vehicons debuted over a decade ago in Beast Machines as an army of lifeless, mass production drone Transformers under Megatron's direct control. Today's Vehicons are much less diverse, even in fiction, but they fill the same general story role in Transformers Prime. Except now the disposable soldiers tend to have individual personalities, often distinct voices from each other, and a vague will to live. But it's okay for the good guys to slaughter them anyway! Really like the look, design & transformation of Vehicon! This second edition design came out GREAT! I hope Hasbro will produce the 'Aerialcon' drones with matching bot form. A slew of both figures would definitely make for a formidable army! TF:Prime is really shaping up nicely. :thumb

This thing has some serious repaint potential (not for you Hasbro! For customisers).

I agree pretty much.

I remember transforming him for the first time. When I started folding up the roof into the legs, I was like "no way....seriously? is this gonna...WHOA NICE!!!" i never thought it'd work that well.

I LOVE this figure! As I often say, I rate all my TFs heavily by how fun their transformations are. And so far, everything from PRID has been an absolute thrill to transform! (Except for you, Bumblebee. Much shame for how inferior you are to your first edition counterpart!)

I agree 100%.

The transformation sequence is simple and efficient, yet complex and involved at the same time. To get a long, lanky robot out of a car with a lot of right angles on top of right angles with almost no alternate mode kibble...well, that's just special. I don't have the FE version, but I have a hard time believing that it tops this version. This toy compares equally with the very best Animated or Generations/HFTD DLX toy I've seen.

Spot on about Bumblebee, to. I almost didn't want to like him, seeing as how stores are criminally saturated with the likeness of 'Bee everywhere you look. But the FE toy is right there with WFC 'Bee as my favorite Bumblebee toy.
