Bumblebee Involved In Crash with Washington DC Police Vehicle During Filming

Fresh from the District of Columbia, we have images of the Washington DC shoot of Transformers 3! All of the shots include pretty much all of the Autobots, including Bumblebee, Sideswipe, the Twins, Ferrari 458 Italia, Mercedes Benz E-Class, Ratchet, Optimus Prime and Ironhide. Our images indicate the street closures have already begun near the Capitol and the National Museum of the American Indian. The museum is the oddly-shaped building seen in some of the backgrounds. Earlier today during filming of Transformers 3 in Washington DC, a Chevrolet Camaro, portraying the vehicle mode of Bumblebee in the movie, collided with a Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department SUV that was responding to a call at the time. We have all of the details in this post, but we now have videos from our time spent down there. The videos show a close-up of what the Camaro looks like in the aftermath of the crash. While we have images from the same angle, this video zooms in to allow us to fully realize the damage. Other videos show Bumblebee getting towed off the set. TMZ reports that he was part of Explosives Ordinances Division and the news report in the article says that cops will go the quickest way possible, regardless of whether or not it was closed. The SUV has its sirens blaring.

 

Fox5 reports that the Division uses a different channel than the Metro PD were using for the perimeter duty.
