Next Alternity Figures Announced As A-04 Okamora Orochi Starscream and Skywarp!

Thanks to our sponsor Bigbadtoystore.com, we have received the news that Tomy Takara's next Transformers Alternity figures will be A-04 Okamora Orochi Skywarp and Starscream! Following in the approach that Takara took with the A-03 Suzuki Swift Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, Starscream and Skywarp will feature different applications and most likely slight variations in the design here and there. The preliminary information we have received from BBTS indicates that Starscream will sport white and Skywarp will sport purple. No images are available at this time, but each are pre-orderable for $49.99 with a tentative shipping date of May 2010.

The Orochi is by Mitsuoka - the name rang a bell as I was watching James May driving one on Top Gear a few weeks back. Weird looking car, and since it's a little-known Japanese marque, looks like these will have to be imported even if the earlier Alternity releases get a Western launch.

Sorry but Starscream and his seeker brothers should just never be cars. it doesn't sit right with me

Sort of weird that they are making them seekers but it's nice to see bad guys equaling the good guys so far. Quick google image search shows this car:

 

 

 

Interesting looking car. I don't see why they can't also release a Thundercracker when Megs and Convoy each got 3 color schemes.

Interesting looking car. Very sleek and sporty. If they're going to make the seekers as cars this might indeed be the way to do this. (

 

Am very curious how the robot mode will look and if they will find a way to honor the jet-look of the G1 robots.

 

 

Will wait for pics before I decide, but so far I can't say I'm interested in buying the seekers as cars.

Why can't they just make them characters that are already cars? I know Runabout and Runamuck aren't too well known, but there's two Decepticons right there. Or how about Rumble and Frenzy?

 

I guess Takara Tomy doesn't want to sculpt a second head this time around.

I havent bought any Alternity yet, and probably wont. Just not in the budget.

 

I'm not offended buy the Seekers being cars. I't a nice break from the norm, Hell if Megatron could be a shoe, why not???

 

I just wonder with the seekers why they always do 2, then have some suprize revelation that people would want the third?
